14- On an assembly line for bottling soft drinks, the bottles may bedefective
in three ways:
A the bottle contains foreign bodies
B the bottle contains less than 240 millilitres of liquid
c the bottle is chipped
All the bottles found defective in any or all of these ways are rejected.
The probability of A is 1 in 50, the probability of B is 1 in 40 and the
probability of C is 1 in 20.
