Neoprene Cladding Systems

APS's Coatings & Linings Division applies specialist coatings and linings to protect structures from corrosion in marine environments. Neoprene cladding is a tough elastomeric coating designed to withstand conditions in splash zones. It provides extreme corrosion and abrasion resistance and is ideal for protecting riser pipes, jacket legs, and clamps in splash zones. The neoprene is applied by hand and vulcanized using steam autoclaves in thicknesses from 12.5mm to 25mm. APS has experience protecting thousands of risers worldwide.

CO ATINGS & LININGS DIVIS ION

Neoprene Cladding Systems

APS’s Coatings & Linings Division provides application of factory and site based specialist coatings and
linings to the oil, gas, water and power industries.

The highly vulnerable splash zone area with its continuous exposure to oxygenated seawater and
wave action can easily strip conventional coatings from the surface of the steel, allowing high levels of
corrosion to occur. Neoprene cladding system is a tough elastomeric coating, designed to withstand
the adverse environmental conditions affecting structural splash zones and marine risers.

Features
• Extreme Corrosion Resistance
• Excellent Abrasion and Impact Resistance
• Extremely Durable
• Ideal for Splash Zone Area Protection

Applications
• Splash Zone Area Riser Pipes
• Splash Zone Area Jacket Legs
• Splash Zone Rea Riser Clamps
• Splash Zone Area Riser Conductors / J-Tubes
• Field Joints / Sectional Repair

equipment. After application of an epoxy primer and a bonding agent the neoprene rubber is hand applied and
vulcanized employing the most modern steam autoclaves. The system thickness ranges from 12.5mm to 25mm

APS is proud of its extensive track record of protecting several thousand risers in all parts of the world so far.
