: The introduction
In light of the growing interest in studying literature and novels,
comparing two prominent novels in the world of literature can be both
fascinating and informative. This project will compare two prominent
novels "All that's left to you" by the late Palestinian author Ghassan
Kanafani, and "The Sound and the Fury" by the American writer
.William Faulkner
:Cultural Context
The novels will be analyzed in terms of their cultural context, exploring
how the authors portray the social backgrounds from which the stories
.emerge
:Narrative Style
The narrative styles used by both Kanafani and Faulkner will be
analyzed to understand how they convey themes and messages in their

:Character Development
The character development in each novel will be studied, focusing on
how the authors depict the social and psychological reality of their

Furthermore, there will be an in-depth examination of the relationships
between the Palestinian and American families depicted in the novels.
Emphasis will be placed on how each author portrays these families,
and discussions will be held on issues of identity, belonging, and social

Through this comparison, the aim is to understand the similarities and
differences between the two families and how culture, traditions, and
social values impact the lives of the families and their interactions with

elucidates each author's unique contributions in portraying reality and
addressing human issues. {1}

:Preliminary literature review
Literature review aims to provide a summary of previous research
related to the research problem, focusing on strengths, weaknesses,
.and justifying the significance of the new research
:Summary of previous research
Many researchers have conducted comparative studies between
different novels, including Ghassan Kanafani's "All that's left to you "
and William Faulkner's "The Sound and the Fury." These previous
studies have focused on various aspects, including cultural analysis,
narrative style, character development, the novel's message, and
family relationships in the story. These studies have shown that both
Kanafani and Faulkner use different techniques to depict reality and
.convey their literary messages{3}
:Strengths and weaknesses
Among the strengths of previous research is the in-depth analysis of
literary elements and themes in both novels, along with a
comprehensive understanding of the cultural and historical context.
However, weaknesses may include surface-level analysis or a lack of
.focus on some key aspects of the novels
:Justification for new research
Despite existing research, there is a continuous need for deep analysis
and effective comparison between "All that's left to you" and "The
Sound and the Fury." The new research aims to add scholarly value
through detailed analysis of literary elements and themes, and
exploring the similarities and differences between the novels
comprehensively, contributing to a deeper understanding of the
.cultural and literary impact of both Kanafani and Faulkner
: Research methodology
Research methodology defines the overall plan and framework for
conducting a study, including the selection of research methods and
logic steps to achieve proposed objectives. It encompasses the research
design, sampling strategy, data collection methods, data analysis
techniques, validity and reliability considerations, ethical
considerations, and resource allocation. By providing a structured
approach, it ensures the systematic and ethical conduct of research to
produce valid, reliable, and meaningful findings.{4}
