Cleaning / Care / Disinfection / Washing conditions

General information concerning Cleaning/ Care/ Disinfection

Do not use a high-pressure cleaner! With high-pressure water jets, fluids can penetrate the interior through gaps or openings and damage
the product (e. g. corrosion).

Inappropriate cleaning agents damage surfaces! Do not use any cleaners or disinfectants that are abrasive or contain halogens or peracetic
acid in caring for the product in general. In addition, do not use any cleaners or disinfectants containing alcohol or (flammable) solvents on
plastic parts and pads. Cleaning agents and disinfectants must meet all internationally applicable regulations for the medical field and / or
must be on the list of the DGHM1) / VAH2).

Clean solid products immediately. Cleaning / disinfection is limited to regularly wiping down (not submersing) equipment with suitable
substances. To clean the product use a pH-neutral or mildly alkaline all-purpose cleaner containing tensides as the active cleaning ingredient.
If heaviliy soiled, use a concentrated cleaner and then rinse with clean water.

Alcohol- or aldehyde-based surface disinfectants may be used to disinfect stainless steel components. Use only aldehyde-based surface
disinfectants for plastic parts. Alcohol-based solutions can damage these surfaces. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using a
disinfectant.
Position the operating table in the uppermost position for cleaning and wipe with a moist cloth. In this position the metal panels and the
bellows of the operating table column are pulled apart and easy to clean.
Remove the pad to clean the pad underside and the pad plate. Attach the cleaned and disinfected pad to the product using dry fleece straps
only.
Use of the incorrect cleaning agents will remove the anti-static properties of the pads in accordance with IEC 60601-1 (DIN EN 60601-1) and
the product will no longer be AP safe. Use the specified cleaning agents and disinfectants only.

After cleaning and disinfecting equipment, use a dry cloth to wipe up any excess liquid that has collected, e. g. drops from beneath the
standard rail of the operating table top.

Cleaning/ Care/ Disinfection of stainless steel
Please note that also stainless steel can incline to corrosion by improper treatment and care. Therefore, you should keep to the following
principles for the care and cleaning of stainless steel.

Principles
• Stainless steel surfaces remain by efficient cleaning without brown coloring.
• Dirty depositions and lime depositions go ahead with corrosion in spite of the application of stainless steel.
• Therefore, disinfectants and cleaning agents should have a neutral PH-value and not exceed the hardness grade of the water 7
German hardness degree.
• Because stainless steel products should not remain humid, humid soiling or cleaning remains is quickly to be removed or to dry.
• Chlorine in every form leads to corrosion of stainless steel; therefore you should avoid chlorine-containing cleaning agents.
• Uses no mechanical aid like knifes, files, steel wool or similar products for the removal of dried remains or firm layers, but soak these
remains.
• After cleaning your stainless steel products you should dry them well.

Cleaning in the washing machine
Machine-washable products can be machine washed if the following specified conditions are met.

The “WASHABLE” pictogram indicates the washability of the products.

To improve the washing and drying process, tilt the object to be washed at least around its long axis. We recommend tilting it around the
long and transverse axis. After removing the product from the washing machine, use a dry cloth to wipe up any excess liquid that has
collected, e. g. drops from beneath the standard rail. After cleaning, allow the pads to dry thoroughly and put them back into place before
using the operating table top.
