1. Create a Word Processor File that prints the bill of items as brought in a gift
shop. The bill should have:

Watermark of shop’s name
Font should be decorative
Customer’s Name
Mode of Payment
Date of Purchase
Items purchased with price
2. Using Smart-Art create a chart on ‘Types of Softwares’ or ‘Communication
Cycle’
3. Create a Birthday Invitation Card
4. Create a document to enter some information related to your friends and
separate the information with tab. Now, convert the text to table, making it
presentable.
5. Design a Newsletter for your school.
6. Design an Invitation Card for School Teachers on any of the following
topics
a) Christmas Celebration
b) Diwali Celebration
c) Republic Day Celebration
d) Independence Day Celebration

MS Excel (5 Marks)
1. Create a workbook to calculate the salaries of employees in ABC [Link]. and
save it with name – ‘Payroll’
a. Calculate the total Basic, Net Pay, Tax of all the employees.
b. Using freeze Pane option; freeze the first 2 records of the table.
Criteria:
• HRA is 60% of basic.
• Gross = Basic + HRA + Allowances
• PF = 10% of basic
• If Gross >= 10000 then rate of tax is 20% of Gross; otherwise no tax
• Net Pay = Gross - PF – Tax
• Calculate tax (using If Statement)
• Give the salary grade to all the employees based on:
i. If Net Pay >= 40000 then Grade = ‘A’
ii. If Net Pay >= 20000 but Net Pay < 40000 then Grade = ‘B’
iii. If Net Pay < 20000 then Grade = ‘C’
Also draw the bar-graph to compare the Net Pay of all the employees.
