exercise. María: Y no haces suficiente ejercicio.
Carlos: John! Mary! Stop arguing! Carlos: ¡Juan, María! ¡Dejad de
discutir!

-ing
He aquí seis de los primeros: like (gustar), love (amar), hate (odiar), stop (parar), start (empezar) y finish
(acabar).
Fíjese en estos ejemplos y en la manera de traducirlos:
I like smoking. Me gusta fumar. Stop arguing! ¡Deja de discutir!
I love drinking coffee. Me encanta beber café. Start thinking about the lesson! ¡Empieza a pensar en la lección!
I hate taking exercise. Detesto hacer ejercicio. Hurry up and finish shaving! ¡Date prisa y acaba de afeitarte!

Too much, too many: demasiado-a, demasiados-as

En la lección 35 han salido las palabras much (incontables) y many (contables en plural) en frases negativas e interrogativas: I
haven’t got much money y How many brothers have you got? También se usan precedidas de too, como en estas frases:
You smoke too many cigarettes. Fumas demasiados cigarrillos.
You drink too much coffee. Bebes demasiado café.
Lo opuesto a too much y too many es not enough:
You don’t take enough exercise. No haces bastante ejercicio.
You don’t drink enough milk. No bebes bastante café.
You don’t get enough sleep. No duermes bastante.
