Chris B. Sivewright
on more effective learning and better enjoyment during the course

1. Concentrate on and become fully involved with the course.

2. Make sure you fully understand how Udemy works, hence watch the early lectures.
3. Plan your study! As if you were attending a local college. For example, 30 minutes a week +
try to find a study buddy (or 2, or a group) and discuss the lectures. (To ask for a friend go to
'study buddies' in Q/A)
4. Watch ALL the lectures (including the Bonus video which explains how you may never have to
pay for a Udemy course of his again)
a. Start the course at the beginning. FRIST THINGS FIRST!
b. Do the exercises and keep your work!
c. Participate in Q/A
d. Work through the workbooks and post your answers
e. Ask (and answer) questions – show an interest.
f. Read the Educational Announcements (they are a part of the course! Sign in)
5. Where homework is set or ‘further reading/watching’ then do it!
6. Where you have posted in the Q/A in a thread, make sure you check your Inbox to see if your
post has been responded to. Make sure you check your inbox regularly anyway.
7. The Q/A is the lifeblood of the course.
8. From time to time return to a) the exercises you have done (do them again, observe, reflect);
b) to your artworks (Has your perspective changed?); c) the workbooks; d) the posts in Q/A; e)
the lectures; f) earlier educational announcements.
9. If at any time you stop enjoying the course think as to WHY – message to Chris direct if you
have suggestions as to what he can do to make the course more enjoyable.
[Link] sure you are writing a review to the course and not a rating. If you are not
ready - don't write it, not yet. If you do write a review (NOT NOT NOT a rating!) then
make it long and then add to it as you progress throughout the course. Your initial
thoughts may change (good or bad) what is important is that you CONVEY your
thoughts, your feedback.
No rush. Take your time. Follow the links. Participate in Q/A.

The more you participate in the course…the more you will enjoy…the
more you will share…the more you will learn.
