GENERAL NOTES
All facade systems mentioned in the BoQ shall be based on approved concept architectural drawings
(Plans, elevations & sections) provided by the project architect, Technical specifications and all
relevant Indian & International standards.
Contractor shall carry out detailed site survey to understand the profile available for fixing of facade
at no additional cost.
Contractor shall design the facade system as per the site survey data, concept drawings given by
project architect and the parameters laid in the technical specification matrix and accordingly shall
prepare and submit the shop drawings for approval to owner/owner's consultant & architect.
Contractor shall do all necessary changes / modifications in design & shop drawings as per the
corrections / modifications given by the owner/owner's consultant & architect and shall take
approval for the design and shop drawings before proceeding for work.
The item rate and scope of the work shall include all associated works like insulations, guttering
arrangement to drain water; flashings, treating junctions with concrete and other materials
including cost of material etc. all complete as per the approved shop drawing details and as directed
by the owner.
The rate include providing & supplying all hardware like stainless steel screws, EPDM gaskets,
backer rod, all required sealants (structural & weather), dash fasteners, Hot dip galvanized welded
MS brackets & framework, scaffolding etc complete as per drawings & technical specifications.
All MS structure in the system shall be coated with anticorrosive paint of 275 microns comprising
primer of 75 microns and topcoat epoxy paint of 200 microns after shot blasting as per BS Standards.
The work shall also includes providing & erecting independent double legged scaffolding using MS
"H" frame & MS supports / bracing, all tools & tackles, equipments & machineries required for the
work including shifting & lifting of material, all types of arrangements for necessary safety
precautions at site.
The designed facade system should be able to with stand all performance requirements as
mentioned in the specifications not limited to thermal stresses, seismic forces, wind velocity, rain,
atmospheric variations and to cover any other stress occurring from natural or man made factors
whatsoever condition etc. with adequate factor of safety to meet relevant IS code and international
codal provisions.
Prior to start of work contractor shall submit samples of each item such as extruded sections, sample
for anodizing / PVDF / Powder coated showing exact colour, glass, IGU, Spider fittings, EPDM/
neoprene beading, gaskets, wool pile, backer rod, fittings and fixtures, silicon sealant, etc. for
approval from the Owner/Owner's consultant & architect. The material to be procured for the work
shall be as per this approved samples.
Designing the system including galvanised steel sub structure which shall be reviewed and approved
by the structural consultant / owner's consultant.
All Exposed exterior aluminum surfaces shall be finished with PVDF coat of minimum 40 microns
(Shade as specified by Architect).
All concealed aluminum surfaces, any extruded aluminium cleats, etc., shall be finished with
CHROME FREE
pretreatment primer coating.
The Facade system installed and material (Like hardware's, stainless steel fittings, Glass and
aluminium alloy along with field water test for water leakage) tested as per technical matrix shall be
guaranteed for 10 years and expected structural stability as 25 years in approved proforma on stamp
paper of appropriate value.
NOTE1: Mode of Measurement for façade elements shall be only visible elevation areas i.e.. Module
centre to centre,End to End for RCC openings. All flashings @ Jamb level, Cill etc Stone/Aluminium
sheet/Any metal panel, along with All copings, soffits shall not paid extra as they are considered part
of the system.
NOTE2:
1.0 WT‐01 SEMI UNITIZED CURTAIN WALL
Design, Fabrication,Supply, Installation,Testing, Protection, Cleaning & Handover of semi unitized
Unitized four sided structural glazing Curtain wall system custom designed to with stand the design
wind pressure confirming to IS ‐875 part III with microwave cured EPDM gaskets, Structural &
weather sealants, Open PU cell Spacer tape, backer rod, Bracketing system with HDG brackets
minimum 75microns designed to accommodate three dimensional movements with serrated plate
and serrated washers, building plumb tolerances upto +‐50mm, SS 316 grade fasteners & nut bolt,
nylon separators to prevent bi‐metallic contacts, Aluminium trims and flashings to seal the gaps
between curtain wall and the building structure all complete required to perform as per
specification and drawing in conjunction with BOQ.
 The extruded aluminium sections of Alloy 6063 T5 / T6 & tolerances confirming to DIN / EN
standard from approved extruder. The structural profiles shall have minimum 3 mm wall thickness
at screwing or load transfer locations & non‐structural thickness should be minimum 2 mm. All the
external & internal visible surfaces shall have high Durability (Akzonobel) / Super durable (Jotun)
Powder coating of 60 ‐ 80 micron confirming to AAMA
2604. The non visible aluminium surfaces shall have minimum chromatizing treatment.

The system shall be designed of floor height units spanning between the floors with face / Slab
mounted brackets or hook on bracket on mullion with provision to accommodate movement at all
floor levels and at every grid panels horizontally. System shall be mounted on to the bracket
arrangement with the help of Anchor Fastener. The Bracketing system with HDG Brackets with built
in serration & serrated washers. The system shall be designed to accommodate DGU in vision area &
in spandrel area at all floor level.System shall accommodate openable panel as per architectural
requirement in the curtain wall system . All fix vision glass and openable shall look similar in the
elevation. Aluminium Edge Guard shall be fixed at all vertical & Horizontal grooves. Each glass panel
shall be structurally glazed on the aluminum sash frame which shall be fixed with cleats @ spacing of
minimum 300mm to the aluminum gridwork.

Rate shall include providing and fixing the spandrel backpan with the mineral wool insulation of 50
mm thick 64 kg/m3 density slab with inbuilt black veil of 0.65 mm firmly held on the 1.2 mm thk. GI
sheet tray on back side. The assembly is kept atleast 50 mm away from the glass surface. GI tray have
black color SDF coated finish.
Flashing / Trim / Floor Closure at Parapet level, floor level, beam bottom level and required
flashings shall be provided continuously with required GI / Aluminium sheet. Internal & External
concealed Flashings shall be 1.2mm thk GI sheet. External exposed flashing shall be 2.5 mm thk.
Aluminium sheet with SDF coated matching with external Aluminium profiles. Internal exposed
flashing shall be 1.5mm thk. Aluminium sheet with SDF coated matching with internal aluminium
profiles.
The quote rate shall include all design, engineering & shop drawing approval from architect &
consultant. The
quote rate shall include all duties, statutory obligations and safety code compliance as per PMC.

1.01 Semi Unitized structural glazing curtain wall system 375 SQM
Design,supply,fabricate,assemble and install semi unitized curtain wall system for the design wind
pressure excluding the glass and operable hardware.
Rate shall include Flashings,Roof coping,Spandrel insulation,labour and overheads and profits.

1.04 Patch Fitting Door 1 Nos

a) Design, engineer, furnish, fabricate, package, deliver (to jobsite) and install complete: Double leaf
swing Patch Fitting Door of Dorma or equivalent make, 12mm thick clear float fully Tempered
Glass with stainless steel patch fittings for external facade application. Complete with 25mm dia SS
handle 1000mm long , S.S patch fittings, S.S Door lock at bottom of each shutter with EN 1‐4 spring
capacity floor spring. Floor spring covers shall be SS satin finish. as per Architect's approved shop
drawings.
b) Door glass shall be clear float fully tempered with holes and notches as per patch fitting
requirement. The door glass shall have Gasket/Teflon deflector at periphery to act as weather seal.
Door nominal opening size is 2400 x 2400mm

2.0 WT‐02 METAL CANOPY @ Terrace

2.1 ALUMINIUM SHEET CLADDED - SYSTEM 375 SQM
 Design, Engineer, Furnish, Fabricate ,package, deliver (to jobsite) and Install:
Aluminium Cladding supported on Horizontal and vertical aluminium framing members are bolted
to the welded MS brackets. Framing members and brackets are supported (Welded) from the built
up MS structure as indicated in the concept drawing.
Fabricated Aluminium sheet panel tray shall be fixed mechanically with aluminium cleat and rivets.
The vertical and horizontal groove joints are to be sealed with weather silicone of approved make in
compliance with the technical matrix.
Quote rate shall include primary seal of 1.5 mm thick G.I. Sheet with water proofing membrane.
All top faced horizontal and vertical silicon groove shall be covered with aluminium covering cap to
prevent water drainage. The fastening materials like Anchors, Nuts, Bolts, Rivets, washers, clamps,
straps etc required for fixing the framing members to the Structure/ masonry wall/ RCC surface
shall be of stainless steel 316 grade and corrosion resistant.
Provide exterior perimeter weather sealants as indicated in the concept drawing and where the
canopy abut adjacent materials including, but not limited to concrete shear walls, slab on grade and
penetrations for ancillary equipment and accessories.
The vendor shall include any supports in soffit/edge area to anchor the canopy system to be included
in the price.
Item Rate shall include the following:
1. Designing the system including canopy & related assembly against wind load and live load.
2. Providing vertical and Horizontal stiffener for sheet to prevent the panel from sagging/deflecting.
3. Handling, Shifting, hoisting & fixing of Aluminium cladding system with specified steel support
brackets along with all required hardware's and accessories as per design.
4. Providing all hardware's & consumables including Stainless steel mechanical anchor fasteners,
screws, bolts and all required accessories (As per design), of approved make, 316 grade as per
concept tender drawing and specification.
5. Providing specified silicone sealant with shade as per architects requirement.

2.2 ALUMINIUM SHEET FOR CANOPY 375 SQM

Supply of 3mm thick Aluminium sheets PVDF coated upto 40 micron with architect approved
shade.
Rate shall include landing cost at site considering all wastage, handling, shifting, profits & overheads
etc.

2.3 MS CONSUMPTION FOR CANOPY 10 TON.

Design, Engineer, Furnish, Fabricate ,package, deliver (to jobsite) and Install mild steel section. All
extruded Mild steel sections shall comply to IS 2062/4923 Grade A All mild steel sections shall be
coated with hot dip galvanised upto 75 micron thick.
The fastening materials like Anchors, Nuts, Bolts, Rivets, washers, clamps, straps etc. required for
fixing the mild steel members to the RCC structure shall be of stainless steel 316 grade and corrosion
resistant of approved make as per Architects/Consultants Specification.

3.0 VISUAL MOCK‐UP

Design,supply ,fabricate and install mock up for the semi unitized curtain wall with the specified
glass along with
3.1 the operable window system ( Sliding and side hung window).The Visual mock up shall be 3 modules 15 SQM
in width and one floor height.

GENERAL NOTES: 2
Contractor's scope shall include:
1. Furnishing/Providing, Handling, shifting, hoisting & fixing of the the material.
2. Designing the system including mild steel sub structure which shall be reviewed and approved by
the structural consultant
/ owner's consultant.
3. Providing & fixing All HDG‐ 80 microns brackets, angle brackets etc as per design to existing CW.

4. Providing all specified finished for aluminium sections,flashings, etc

5. Furnishing/Provding,Fabrication and treatment of Steel structure as specified
6. Providing all chrome free pretreatment primer coated aluminium or Stainless Steel 'U' Channel, SS
316 grade
specified mechanical anchor fasteners, chemical anchors, Plastic anchors, Rawl plug, SS 316 grade
screws, bolts and all the specified consumables required for installing the façade elements.
 7. Providing Weather Silicone DC991, Structural silicone DC 995/795/983, Non staining silicone for
stone
cladding DC 991 , Fire stop 700 silicone sealant from Dow corning.‐ Shade of silicone is as per
architects intent, HILTI Mastic Spray CFS‐SP WB / STI AS200 Series Elastomeric Spray, Acrylic
sealents.

8. Mode of Measurement for façade elements shall be only visible elevation areas i.e.. Module centre
to centre, End to End for RCC openings,al. cladding, Louvre as per elevation. All flashings, Soffits and
Top roof copings of ACP/Stone/Aluminium sheet/Any metal panel shall not paid extra as they are
considered part of the system.

9. All metalsurfaces shall be provided with protective Low tac tape.

10. All extruded aluminium sections shall be as per specified alloy and shall be free of die marks and
other defects.
11.Mock up shall be done by the façade contractor free of cost at locations identified PMC & Client
representatives prior to
commencement of installation of façade elements
12.Client reserves the right to operate or delete the quote rate from the Scope of contractor or may
get it executed by other
agency and no compensation on such account shall be made to the contractor.
13. Any Free issue of Glass, Mild Steel framing members, hardwares is complete decision of client.

14. Contractor to co‐ordinate with MEP consulatant for perimeter sealing of MEP serivces
penetrating through façade work.
15. Water test should be done 100% of curtain wall area; the critical locations shall be identified by
owner/ owner's
consultant post execution.

Notes:
1. The Quantities are as per given BOQ by the client.
2. All brackets in Hot Dipped GI.
3. Erected Scaffolding if required Shall be provided by client.
4. Water & Electricity shall be provided free of Cost.
5. Place for Storage & Assembly shall be provided at site. We shall do the necessary enclosure works.
Payment Terms:
1. 70% Advance along with work order.
2. 20% before delivery of ready window from factory.
3. 10% after completion of work.
