RECALL ANALOG

1- INTRODUCTION

Recall Analog is a system that has been specifically designed to record all calls
made via an analog line or extension.

It is made up of:
- A hardware unit connected in series to the line / extension to be recorded, and to
the local area network.
- A software application for the setup of the hardware unit and creation of the
database.
- The “Recording Manager” software for the management of recorded calls.

Each Recall Analog unit enables the recording of up to 8 lines or extensions.

The system may be expanded by adding hardware units. In this case it is advisable
to use a switch for the connection of various units to the LAN.

Note: It is imperative that Framework .NET v2.0 is installed in the server PC before
beginning installations. This may be installed by clicking the link indicated on the
above screen.
Once Framework .NET v2.0 is definitely installed, click “Recall Analog”. The
following screen appears.

The Recall Analog software is made up of 3 components: SQL Express and Recall
Server MUST be installed in the same PC (Server PC). The server PC must run a
Windows XP, Win2003, Windows 7 or Win2008 operating system and it is
recommended to be a dedicated PC with hard disk capacity in accordance with
recordings storage requirements (e.g. 1 GB provides storage space for approx. 16
hours of uncompressed recordings, or 256 hours of compressed recordings).

The third component “Recall Analog Hardware Setup”, used to configure the
hardware unit, must be installed in the server PC.

6
