Safety Information
This is training presentation, reference information is in Official Technical Guides.
▪ It is advisable to read all the Safety
Information, all the time before trying to
Install, Operate, Service or Maintain it.
▪ Electrical equipment should be installed,
operated, serviced and maintained only by
qualified personnel.
▪ Work with facility IT System
Administrators to ensure that the system
adheres to the site-specific cybersecurity
policies.
Failure to follow these instructions can result
in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

• Add / Configure a CB
1) Circuit Breaker can be added at Bay level in Electric hierarchy.
CB 3 phases (1 DPS for global position) / CB 1 phase (single phase acq.)
2) CB attributes
Short Name :
SCE Key + appears in viewers + printers
CB Type :
3-ph = 3 phases together,
1-ph = 3 separated phases
Other : do not use
(Think about AutoRecloser 1P 3P 3P)
Nodes definition :
For ATCC, AVR, IEC topological model in SCD
(iFLS)

• CB-1ph Configuration (1)
1) CB 1 phase basic configuration
1.1) Type 1
Typed Switch Ctrl DPC :
DPC Open/Close
Typed CB Computed Position DPS :
- Global CB Position, computed by C264
- is feedback of DPC command
- is animated on PACiS HMI / C264 LCD
Typed Switchgear ph A,B,C wired DPS/SPS :
CB single phase position, acquired by C264
(DI/CCU or IED)
1.2) Type 2
Position can be computed by :
- typed Switch ph A DPS
- typed Phases Not Together SPS
Note : Positions can be SPS

• CB-1ph Configuration (2)
2) CB enhanced configuration => possible sons
Typed Sync CB Close :
Synchrocheck
Typed Lock Control SPC :
Operator lock
Typed Selection SPC :
when SBO, activated at selection
Typed Lock SPS :
Lock status
Typed Phase Not Together SPS :
- Indicates if all phases are in same position
- holds a timer for CB trip
Typed withdrawn SPS :
brushable devices (for HMI brushable position
info )

• CB-3ph Configuration
1) CB 3 phases basic configuration (most common)
1.1) Type 1
Typed Switch Ctrl DPC :
DPC Open/Close
Typed CB Computed Position DPS :
- Global CB Position, computed by C264
- is feedback of DPC command
-is animated on PACiS HMI / C264 LCD
-is used in Interlock FBDs
Typed Switchgear position wired DPS :
CB Position, acquired by C264 (DI/CCU or IED)
Today always profile without HMI archive (no IEC
1.2) Type 2 adrs)
Typed Switch Ctrl DPC can be replaced by :
- typed Switch Ctrl SPC for CLOSE
- typed Switch ph A SPC for OPEN
Note : Positions can be SPS

• Add / Configure a Transformer
1) Transformer module can be added at Transformer or Generic Bay level in
Electric hierarchy.
2) Transformer attributes
Short Name :
SCE Key + appears in viewers + printers
Transformer Type :
- Auto wound : no galvanic isolation between HV
and LV sides, tap changer acts simultaneously in
primary and secondary : TAP RAISE = LV LOWER
- Double wound : galvanic isolation between HV
and LV sides, tap changer acts in primary : TAP
RAISE = LV RAISE
Power value / impedance :
AVR

Typed MCB Open SPC :
- AVR
- In case of invalid tap changing, it will stop
supplying tap changer (power cutting)
Typed TAP Select SPC :
when SBO, activated at selection
Typed Higher Position / Lower Position SPS
:
- SET when max tap and min tap are reached
Typed Tap in progress SPS :
- physically acquired by C264
- impact on control sequence

• Features
1) Generic Modules are :
- non typed modules
- contains generic datapoints
- huge range of use => non particular context
Example for switching device
- ADVICE : DON’T USE GENERIC MODULES but TYPED MODULES for CB
and disconnector if you have :
- Built-in automation (AVR, Synchrocheck, Autorecloser)
- lock, hardware selection, withdrawn
