Dear Admissions Committee,

After multiple revisions, including feedback from various sources, this letter aims to step away from the
conventional approach of highlighting the university's prestige. Instead, the focus is on introducing myself,
elucidating my career choice, and expressing what I hope to contribute to the world.

My name is Gabriela Anchique Correcha, originally from Colombia, where I spent 12 formative years
surrounded by nature, cultural diversity, and a deep appreciation for the arts. From an early age, I
embraced art, continuously refining my skills. After completing high school, I directly entered college with
a focus on science but later switched programs. I took some visual arts courses at college, although I
haven't completed the program. Extensive research led me to the film animation courses at this university,
aligning perfectly with my interests and long-term aspirations.

I am an artist defined by originality, perfectionism, and adaptability, excelling in various art forms. My
creativity goes beyond the ordinary, allowing me to tell meaningful stories with a broad imagination.
Choosing a career in animation is a profound decision rooted in personal values shaped by my family and
the impact of animated movies. These films have not only evoked emotions but also inspired me to
overcome challenges and pursue my dreams. Animated movies have instilled confidence in my abilities.

Through animation, I aim to share knowledge, creativity, and stories, becoming a voice for diverse
individuals and situations globally. I aspire to inspire people to move forward despite challenges,
emphasizing that dreams can always come true. I view the world uniquely due to animated movies,
motivating my pursuit of becoming an artist who shares knowledge, creativity, and stories through
animation. I aspire to be a global voice, inspiring individuals to persevere despite challenges because
dreams can come true.

Through animation, I aim to highlight the importance of indigenous communities, emphasize the
significance of animals like sharks in ecosystems, and illustrate the challenges faced by immigrants and
refugees in unfamiliar environments. My goal is to bring attention to subjects often undervalued by
society and instigate positive change. In the long run, I aspire to be a director of animated films, driven by
a desire to make a lasting impact on the world. Overcoming challenges to pursue my dream in Canada, I
express my thoughts and values through animation, creating characters, narratives, and more. I find the
magic in simplifying complex stories for all age groups, generating emotions and memories.

Choosing this career, I aim to preserve the authenticity of animation in the face of emerging technologies.
As an artist, I have contributed to a clothing brand, sold paintings, and excelled in CEGEP courses. Short-
term goals involve learning extensively from animation courses and consistently improving to become an
accomplished director of animated films. I appreciate your consideration of my application and eagerly
anticipate the opportunity to embark on this transformative journey at Concordia University.

Sincerely, Gabriela Anchique
