Host Building Requirements
The shielded room must be installed on a smooth plane ground, free of
defects and preserved from any dampness risk.
The requested planarity for the floor must follow the requirements of the
DIN18202 standard: < 1cm / 1m, without exceeding 3cm / 10m.
The floor must be able to withstand the following loads :
- A load of 6 tons under each of the 6 pillars of the structural steel frame
(approximate 30 x 30 cm² surface),
- A linear load of 1000 kg per linear meter all around the perimeter of the
chamber,
- A surface load of 100 kg per square meter for the floor of the chamber.

Floor Requirement - Turntable
A pit (approximate minimum dimensions 3,5 m x 3,5 m x -1 m) is dug in the host
building floor for easy turntable installation.
This pit will be shielded using welded copper foil which is linked on its periphery
to the floor shielding panels using specific bolted frames.
