NCP Cataract

The patient underwent lens extraction surgery and has myopia. Their visual acuity was measured as 20/150 in the right eye and 20/50 in the left eye with corrective lenses. They were assessed as having disturbed sensory perception related to their vision issues, anxiety about the upcoming surgery, and lack of knowledge about postoperative care. The goals of care were to regain sufficient vision to do daily activities like reading and TV, reduce anxiety, and learn how to apply eye drops after surgery. Interventions included instructions to avoid straining activities, wear glasses and a shield, and teach about signs of issues like blurred vision from drops. The evaluation found the goals were met as the patient could do activities and learned postoperative care.
