NCP Cataract

The patient underwent lens extraction surgery and has myopia. Their visual acuity was measured as 20/150 in the right eye and 20/50 in the left eye with corrective lenses. They were assessed as having disturbed sensory perception related to their vision issues, anxiety about the upcoming surgery, and lack of knowledge about postoperative care. The goals of care were to regain sufficient vision to do daily activities like reading and TV, reduce anxiety, and learn how to apply eye drops after surgery. Interventions included instructions to avoid straining activities, wear glasses and a shield, and teach about signs of issues like blurred vision from drops. planning Regain sufficient visual acuity to maintain ADLs,including reading and watching television for enjoyment. Demonstrate a reduced level of anxiety. Demonstrate the procedure for instilling eye drops postoperatively.

intervention Instruct her to avoid shutting the eyelids tightly, sneezing, coughing, laughing, bending over, lifting, or straining to have a bowel movement.Teach her to wear glasses during the day and an eye shield at night. Observation signs of disorientation. Put the items required / position call bell within reach. Note about dim or blurred vision and eye irritation, which can occur when using eye drops.

rationale to prevent injury to the surgical site.

to check the mental status of the client. for the easy access and to limit the movement of the eye. to check if there is any complications with the operation.
