difficulty in understanding some of their subject.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDY
Review of Related Literature
Local 1.1
Based on Peñeda (2019), Schools impart the necessary knowledge of the young minds
through the help of the teachers and other stakeholders. Siemens (2005) emphasizes that learning
must not detached from outputs of pupils. When there is learning academic Teachers and
stakeholders must take action about the students learning performances of their pupil so that an
intervention in class could made, bearing in mind that the academic performance of a student is
one of the indicators that they can focus and concentrate on their studies.
Local 1.2
According to Aquino (2020), lack of concentration in class can have a negative impact
on student’s performances. When student are not paying attention, they may find it difficult to
absorb the lesson well, leading to a lack of understanding and retention of the material. This can
hinder their ability to perform well in exams and assessments. Many students struggle with poor
concentration when it comes to their academic performance this can be due to a variety of factors,
such as lack of sleeps, stress, distractions, or simply not being interested in the subject matter.
Article shows that students with shorter attention spans tends to perform worse on tests, struggle
to retain information long-term and have a harder time connecting desperate ideas into cohesive
understanding. (Chi, 2023).
Local 1.3
According to Jhoselle Tus (2020), the influence of gadgets has become the most common
reason to why student losses their focus on their task. There are several causes of it, these include
environmental factors such as distractions around the classroom. Additionally lack of sleep, poor
nutrition and technology use can also distract students’ attention. It is important to identify the
causes of it in order to implement effective strategies.
Foreign 1.1
Based on Wooll (2022) focus is important no matter what stage of you’re in r what ask
you’re doing. Students rely on their focus to think clearly and decides properly. Students must
lessen the distractions around them that will make their productivity increased and they also led to
more engaged, creative, and productive work flows. Lack of concentration might point to various
things in our life.
Foreign 1.2
According to oxford learning (2024), child conversation issues in school can happen to
many students. Most students have troubled paying attention in class due to some points. It is
important to know that not every students who has a had time focusing had learning difficulties,
such as ADD and ADHD. In many cases, child concentration issues in school signs that students
having trouble concentrating include, lower grades, dislike of schools and disruptive behavior in
class, these signs don’t automatically mean that students are having learning difficulties but instead
lack of concentration.
Foreign 1.3
According to Bordia (2022), poor concentration in student is big problem since it
affects their education in a negative way. A common developmental difference sometimes affects
a part of the brain that controls concentration and attention, this disorder range from impulsiveness,
restlessness and short attention span, leading to lack of focus. Emotional and physical issues might
be a significant reason for lack of concentration. These issues consist of anxiety, dyslexia, bipolar
disorder or physical disabilities.
Review of Related Studies
Local 1.1
According to Cayas, Deluna, and other researchers (2019), lack of concentration happens
almost everyday in students’ daily lives. Students lack of concentration affects their educational
performances inside the class. Based on their study student stated that most common factor
affecting it are their problems about family an d personal life. Poor concentration became the main
reason of failing and getting lower grades.
Local 1.2
Based on Le (2021), maintaining the student’s focus both a challenge and a motivation
for teachers to change themselves if needed for the better. Even though countless factors can affect
students ability to keep heir focus well, there are some solutions for it. Solution can start n students
themselves on how they will manage to keep their focus on the subject and task given to them. It
have given above maybe not the best to deal with all distractions, especially to the uncontrollable
ones, yet they can be one of the ways teachers can minimize the distractions around their students.
Local 1.3
Based on Yanez (2021), concentration can be improved and active participation of
students through positive interactions with their teachers leads to higher and better learning, in
addition to motivation to listen. Distraction can be internal and external. This is because there are
two types of sounds one is inside the ears and the other one is outside the ears. Internal distraction
occurs when the student is thinking that leads to other things, causing to lose the main topic.
External distraction occurs hen the students concentration caught by something or someone’s
voices and topic far from the lesson.
Foreign 1.1
Lack of concentration is very common problem amongst student. Keeping student
focused during class can be a herculean task at time. D. Bordia (2022), conducted a study and
found that almost adult have an average attention span of only 14 minutes. With rise of technology
and the increasing pace of daily life, it obviously more difficult for children to concentrate on their
classes. The study shows some ways to manage lack of concentration amongst students. He stated
that the more hands on and practical, the better they will be for students. Students should get
enough sleep and have enough activities to keep them energetic; problem-solving and creative
thinking ability activities can improve their concentration.
Foreign 1.2
Based on medical review by Shilda Amin (2023), sleep deprivation, stress, anxiety and
other medications may causes concentration issues. Being unable to concentrate affects the
students’ school performances. Students experience sleep deprivation due to attention problems,
over activity, impaired school performances and misbehavior. Anxiety also affects the
concentration of the students mostly due their mistakes and embarrassing moments. Students feel
stressed mostly because of school works, family problems and other things, making them to spaced
out, losses temper quickly, changes of behavior and substance misuse.
Foreign 1.3
According to Hanh Vy Le (2021), concentration is one of the most influential factors
in students’ learning quality. The higher the students’ level, the less concentration they pay in class
especially senior high school students. This low level of concentration, many teachers finds it hard
to maintain their interest while teaching in this level and those students finds ihard to achieve the
best outcome when getting the grades they want.
