INTRODUCTION
Design thinking is a new and attractive subject for students of UEH. The
main goal of Design thinking mainly revolves around how we experiment,
research the steps, methods and measures to better understand our users in
order to support them, or in short, we will take the desires of users as the center
of the experiments (human-centered). Based on the above main objective, we
can propose methods to support the identification of user desires and solve
those desires.
Design thinking is also one of the important tools that helps businesses
and researchers to recognize and research more deeply about the problems
that their users encounter, thereby better understanding the difficulties their
users encounter. Design thinking has helped me improve my critical thinking
and help me come up with more creative ideas to solve the problems that users
encounter. Thanks to the tools of design thinking, our team can search,
identify and come up with reasonable solutions to support users. These tools
also help us gradually develop ideas about products that support users in a
more rigorous way. Design thinking has helped me and my team become more
creative and develop more critical and rigorous thinking.

CHAPTER I: I LEARNED
Design thinking is a new and exciting subject that brings creativity and
innovation to ideas to bring rationality to the methods and final products of
the process.
1. Course overview
In general, Design Thinking is a human-centered problem-solving
discipline that emphasizes understanding users, challenging assumptions, and
continually generating new directions. Based on design principles, the concept
emerged in the mid-20th century in the scientific analysis of creative problem-
solving – and has since been widely applied across a variety of disciplines.
The principles of Design thinking mainly revolve around steps such as
Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test. In the Empathize step, there are
main tools such as Persona, Empathize map,…. Tools like Persona, Empathize
map can help us understand our users more easily, from these tools, we can
extract user characteristics from the information that users provide and use it
to analyze, create tools in order to better understand, portray the user's portrait
in the most realistic way. From that, we could gain a better understanding of
empathy also helps us to put aside our own assumptions about the world, as
well as gain real insight into our users and what they want from the approach
we offer. After completing the Empathize step, the next step is the Define step.
In the Define step, we have tools such as Problem Tree, Fishbone Diagram,
Problem Statement, etc. based on the information collected in the Empathize
section, we can more closely describe the problems that users encounter and
find the main cause (root cause) from which we can identify the effects that
users encounter based on that problem as a springboard to be able to propose
methods to solve the difficulties that users encounter. The next step is Ideate,
in this step, we can use tools to generate as many ideas as possible. From those
ideas, we can eliminate ineffective ideas and choose effective ideas, and
thanks to those effective ideas, we can develop them into products to support
ours' users to solve their problems. Filtering ideas from the Ideate step can
helps us easily develop and select a reasonable idea to turn that idea into a
product in the Prototype step. In this step, we can plan to test many products
to find the most reasonable and feasible product idea. The final step in the
Design Thinking process is Testing, which is one of the most important steps
in design thinking, testing the proposed prototypes. The evaluation results
will be used to identify one or more problems that will arise next. We can

repeat the previous steps in order to change and improve further for our
product.
2. Teamwork
This course gives me many great experiences such as learning how to
work better in a team, coordinate with people better and also helps me realize
that working in a team is a wonderful thing to do.
CHAPTER II: I LIKED
Studying Design Thinking helped us realize that this subject has helped us a
lot in developing our thinking as well as other soft skillsAfter attending Ms.
Do Thi Kim Thanh's classes, I realized that her classes are extremely useful
because she always creates a friendly, harmonious learning environment that
is easy for students to access. Ms. Thanh's enthusiastic help and support for
our group is a great motivation for us to complete our group projects in the
most reasonable and rigorous way. In addition to enthusiastically helping our
group, she also always creates useful activities to help us absorb lessons more
quickly. She always encourages us to come up with as many ideas as possible
and helps us overcome our preconceptions about incorrect or bad ideas.
Thanks to her encouragement, we can develop critical thinking as well as
recognize which ideas are effective and which are not. That encouragement
also helps our group develop, build extremely creative and new ideas, thereby
also helping to reconnect the spirit as well as helping us understand each other
and connect more when working in team. Not only that, Ms. Thanh always
gave suggestions and criticisms to our group's ideas. These criticisms helped
our group to look back at the mistakes in the article so that we could develop
supporting methods to support the mistakes that she criticized for our group's
ideas. From there, our group could develop products and ideas in a more
reasonable and coherent way. All of those experiences made us feel the joy of
working in group, turning ideas from unreal in our minds thoughts into
feasible and implementable ideas. At the same time, Ms. Thanh's supportive
comments also helped our group to develop the way of thinking outside the
box, daring to think and act, and improving our logical thinking ability. The
most important thing is that we can feel the connection in teamwork as well
as the joy while working in group.

CHAPTER III: I WISH
Design Thinking has brought us a lot of useful knowleadge as well as new
experiences. We have also learned a lot of things such as ways to understand
ours' users, ways to identify ours' user problems, ways to ideate, ways to select
ideas, and reasonable measures to develop into complete products to solve
ours' user problems and difficulties.
Regarding our group's project, I have to say that this was an extremely
miserably hard. From the beginning, because we did not clearly understand
the problem our group needed to solve, our group chose an extremely difficult
topic to handle. This also made our group feel embarrassed because we did
not know what to do next and wasted a lot of time since we chose an difficult
and somewhat impossible topic. That's why our team's time for the project is
limited, so when our team has chosen a suitable project and Sdg, we
immediately started working on it, from the smallest steps such as collecting
user data, empathizing, identifying user problems, etc. Also, that’s one of our
group's weaknesses, not being able to identify the right topic from the
beginning as well as having enough time to develop ideas. We feel extremely
regretful because these two weaknesses prevented the group from completing
the assignment and product more perfectly. So, what our team wants most is
be able to understand and choose the right topic from the beginning, because
this can shorten and save as well as avoid wasting the first period of time, the
next thing is to be able to have more time, because with more time our team
can develop the idea more completely, as well as more perfectly. More time
can help us rotate articles, test more and from there can draw more results,
conclusions, and user feedback. Those feedback can help our team improve,
fix and develop the product, so that when the product reaches the user, it will
be a perfect version. Therefore, our team hopes to have more time as well as
choose a more appropriate topic from the beginning.
Although there are regrets, the course is an extremely memorable experience,
and those experiences have brought us many valuable lessons.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, for me, Design Thinking is a prety useful subject because it's
bringing us a lot of knowledge and experiences, perhaps this knowledge will
be a springboard for my future development.
Also, I would like to send my most sincere thanks to Ms. Do Thi Kim Thanh,
our instructor in Design Thinking course, her enthusiasm and dedication in
teaching has made us realize the wonderful knowledge and experience that
Design Thinking brings.
