Prophet Muhammad ﷺthe Model of Tolerance
Question #1: What does the Quran say about tolerance?
Answer: Tolerance is a valuable virtue, according to the Holy Quran. "O you who have
believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." (2:153)
Question #2: The Holy Prophet Muhammad ( )ﷺwas man of extra ordinary
endurance? Explain.
Answer: The life of Muhammad ﷺ, the prophet, is an excellent representation of
endurance. He was the epitome of endurance and forgiveness. He endured harsh treatment
from his rivals. Despite being abused and banished from his own town, he maintained his
composure. He was tolerant in the face of every uncomfortable circumstance.
Question #3: How did the Prophet Muhammad ( )ﷺtreat the people of Makkah after
victory?
Answer: The Holy Prophet Muhammad ( )ﷺcommanded his followers to maintain their
tolerance following the conquest of Makkah. He granted general release to all Makkah
residents, even his greatest enemies. No man or woman suffered harm and no house was
looted.
Question #4: Why was Rabbi asking for the repayment days before the loan was
due?
Answer: Rabbi was asking for the repayment days before the loan was due because he
wanted to test the tolerance of Muhammad ()ﷺ.

Question #5: What does the tolerance of Hazrat Muhammad ( )ﷺteach us?
Answer: The example of tolerance set by Hazrat Muhammad ( )ﷺinstructs us to be
compassionate and understanding towards everyone. Despite their misbehavior or any
harsh treatment, we should still be respectful to non-Muslims.
Question #6: What was the effect of Hazrat Muhammad's ( )ﷺkindness on the
Rabbi?
Answer: After experiencing the generosity and tremendous patience of Muhammad ()ﷺ,
the Rabbi immediately abandoned his religion and embraced to Islam.
Question #7: What is the main idea of the lesson?
Answer: The lesson's main idea is that Islam promotes in us qualities like tolerance,
humanity, patience, and righteous behavior. The greatest illustration of compassion,
forgiveness, and tolerance is found in the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ()ﷺ.
Furthermore, the teachings of our Holy Prophet ( )ﷺshould be followed.
