INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF SHED AT KS&EW
1. The Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW) invites sealed bids on
Single Stage Two Envelope procedure for project “Infra Structure Up-gradation of Karachi
Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW), Construction of Shed at KS&EW” from eligible
national constructors / firms having valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in
category C-4 or above.
2. Interested firms may obtain Bidding Documents on written request and on payment of
non-refundable amount of Pak Rupees Six Thousand (Rs.6,000/=) in the form of Pay Order issued
by a Scheduled Bank in Pakistan drawn in favor of "Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works".
Bidding documents may be collected from office of the GM(S&CW) KS&EW, West Wharf Dockyard
Road, Karachi from 0900 hours to 1600 hours on working days.
3. A pre-bid meeting will be held at office of the GM (S&CW) Conference room on 08 th March
2021 at 1100 hours.
4. Bids must be accompanied with Bid Security in favor of "Karachi Shipyard & Engineering
Works Limited (KS&EW)" amounting to Pak Rupees Five Hundred Thousand (Rs.500,000/-) in the
form of Pay Order by Scheduled Bank in Pakistan valid for a period of 28 days beyond the Bid
Validity date issued. Bids without bid security will be rejected.
5. The bids are to be submitted in the office of GM (S&CW) Karachi Shipyard & Engineering
Works Limited (KS&EW) on 16th March 2021 at 1100 hours The Technical Bids will be opened on
the same day at 1130 hours in the presence of bidder’s representatives who wish to attend. The
Financial Bids of the technically qualified firms will be opened on the date and time intimated in due
course. The Financial Bids of the technically rejected bidders will be returned unopened.
6. KS&EW reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids as per Rule-33 of PPRA Rules
- 2004. Bids received after due date and time shall not be entertained.
