does not hold shares with another person who is already admitted to
Membership of the Society.

fully paid up shares of Rs. Fifty each.
2. The Member desires I, Shri./Shrimati. --------------------------------- to be an
Associate Member for the purpose of exercising rights and performing duties of
member in respect of flat no. ---------- in ------------- building in the -----------------
Co-operative Housing Society Ltd.
3. Accordingly, I make this application for admitting me as an Associate Member to
the Member Shri./Shrimati. ----------------------------------------- and remit herewith
the entrance fee of Rs. 100/-.
4. I state that I fulfil all the terms and conditions of membership as provided in the
Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960/Rules,1961 and Model byelaws of the
society and thus I am eligible for grant of Associate Membership.
5. I state that I do not jointly own or have joint title to the flat with the above
mentioned Member.
6. I further state that on my admission as an Associate Member, we shall be jointly
and severally liable to discharge the present and future legal liabilities of the
society.
7. I state that the right of attending General Body Meetings and voting at them will
ordinarily be exercised by the Member Shri./Shrimati. -----------------------------------
-- whose name stands first in the share certificate.
8. I further state that in case, the Member whose name stands first in the share
certificate is absent at such meeting then as mentioned in Section 154B-11 of
Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960, the person whose name stands
second, and in absence of both, the person whose name stands next and likewise, in
absence of the preceding persons, the person whose name is next on the share
certificate, who is present and who is not a minor have a right to attend such
meetings and to vote.
9. I state that in absence of member and Joint member/s as above, I shall have a right
to attend such meetings and to vote in such meetings pursuant to Section 154B-11
of Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960.
10. I state that I am a person as husband / wife / father / mother / brother / sister / son /
daughter/son-in-law/daughter-in-law/nephew/niece of a Member / Joint Member
(name of joint member ----------------------) as defined in clause (18)(a) of Section 154B-
1 of Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960.
