The Maharashtra Rifle Association [MRA] will organize the Maharashtra Air and Firearms
Competition August -2024/2, [MAFC] NR from 30.08.2024 to 02.09.2024, which shall be conducted by
the Ronak Pandit Shooting Centre [RPSC] at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune
– 411045. That the said competition shall be held at the aforementioned venue subject to approval from
the competent authority.
The MRA will be organizing MAFC / MAGC (earlier known as MAWC) for the purpose of periodic internal
assessment and to enable shooters to qualify for the various State and National Level competitions, as
per the rules of the NRAI and the MRA. These competitions are also recognized by MRA for the selection
of the various teams that represent Maharashtra State at all the National Level Competitions [only ISSF
events]. Please Note: The MAFC / MAGC is an INTERNAL COMPETITION conducted only for the
abovementioned purposes and cannot be used for any schemes including but not limited to the 5%
quota for jobs and the 25 marks for the SSC and HSC students announced by the Department of Sports
– Govt. of Maharashtra. The scores achieved by shooters in the MAFC / MAGC can only be applied for
the abovementioned purpose /s and no other purpose whatsoever.
AMMUNITION:
Imported ammunition and Pellets will be issued to all participants as per the norms approved by the
Managing Committee and as per the availability. Details of the norms and issue procedures for imported
ammunition/pellets will be put up on the Notice Board at the MRA Shooting Range prior to the
commencement of the competition. Participants should keep in touch with the ‘Notice Board’ / Website
for updated information.
COMPETITION RULES:
1. Shooters desiring to participate in the competition should complete the ONLINE
([Link]) entry form. The last date of receipt of single-entry form / fee is 23.08.2024
till 1700 hrs. Entries may be accepted until 1700 hours on 25.08.2024 with payment of double
entry fee.

2. All weapons and ammunition must comply with NRAI / ISSF Rules.
3. All the matches will be conducted as per ISSF rules & NRAI Match Book.
4. Participants will have to bring their own arms/ammunition and other equipment. ONE WEAPON,
CAN BE SHARED BY, NOT MORE THAN 2 SHOOTERS.
5. Absentees will not be allowed to take part in a later detail even if a lane is vacant in that detail.
6. If a participant is absent, another participant will not be permitted to shoot in his place.
7. The particulars of details will be put up on the MRA Website ([Link]) / Facebook
Page / Range Notice Board one day prior to the date of the actual event and all participants
should keep themselves informed by referring to the same.
8. No request regarding firing points / relays / dates will be entertained, irrespective of the fact
whether the entry form is accepted.
9. A participant is required to be present at the firing point 15 minutes prior to the commencement
of his detail.
10. No CERTIFICATES will be issued for the MAFC /MAGC.
11. All events shall be held on electronic targets, in case of two or more frame hits by an athlete,
he/she shall be disqualified from that event.
12. Determination of age for sub-youth/ youth/ junior/ masters/ senior masters for the subject
competition, shall be the athletes age as on 31.12.2023.
13. An athlete participating in the firearm events, who shoots a score lower than 15% of the of the
MQS of the category in which he/she is participating shall be penalized with fine of Rs.3000/-,
further if the score achieved is lower than 50% of the MQS of the category in which he/she is
participating shall be penalized with fine and Rs.10,000/- and appropriate action shall be initiated
against such athlete.
For the purposes of this competition, those shooters are “MQS” shooters who have participated earlier in
the NSCC/ G.V. Mavlankar Shooting Championship, West Zone Shooting Championship, Maharashtra
State Shooting Championship and Capt. S. J. Ezekiel Memorial Maharashtra State Shooting
Championship- Novices (NR Category), but are required to once again achieve the required MQS to
participate in the Pre-National Competitions.
The Shooters may contact the Organizing Secretary for any further information/details that may be
required by them and might have not been covered by the above instructions.
