A Sustainable Solution to Reduce
Water Waste
INTRODUCTION TO GREYWATER
What is Greywater?
Greywater is lightly used water generated from household activities such as
bathing, handwashing, laundry, and dishwashing. It excludes wastewater from
toilets, which is classified as blackwater.
This water contains traces of soap, detergents, grease, and dirt but lacks the
pathogens found in blackwater. Due to its relatively low contamination,
greywater is suitable for various non-potable applications, such as garden
irrigation, toilet flushing, and cleaning, especially after basic filtration or
treatment.
