IP Classes : CLASS A

First BIT of the class a is static always class A starts with 0

No of networks in CA is 2^7 = 128-2 = 26 because [Link] and [Link] is reserved already.

No of Host possible in network : 2^24 = -2 = because [Link] is network address and

[Link] is for broadcasting
Now to find out from which class this address belongs to we have to perform AND operation
with default mask [Link]
IP Class B :
No of network address is 16384 reason is we have bits 16 bits in host portion and the first 2
are static cannot be changed so it will be count as 2^14 or 16384

for host portion we have 2^16 no of hosts in each network because 16 are the no of bits and 2
address cannot be used . [Link] represents network address and [Link] is
broadcasting address.
