1. Overview
The CBRMA 10/100baseT unit allows the OmniPCX 4400 system to be connected to external devices:
- local system console on a V24 port,
- application console on a V24 port,
- V24 modem for remote maintenance,
- Ethernet 10 or 100 baseT network.
The CBRMA unit is only used with M2 and M3 cabinets.

The CBRMA unit is installed:

- wall-mounted near the main ACT,
- in a 19 rack near the main ACT,
- in the M2 or M3 cabinet, if there is available space.

Installing cables:
To connect the cables, the CBRMA unit must be opened by removing the attachment screws as follows:

The connection between the CBRMA unit and M2 or M3 cabinet depends on the cabinet’s configura-
tion.module M2/M3 cabinet - Connexion - Internal connections describes the different possibilities.
Each CBRMA unit cable must be attached as follows:
