What is cloud?

Cloud is essentially a network of remote servers connected to the internet.

Instead of storing data or running applications on your computer, you can access them from
these servers.
Key Benefits of Using the Cloud:

 Accessibility: Access your data and application from anywhere with an internet
connection.
 Scalability: Easily increase or decrease computing resources based on your needs.
 Cost-effective: Pay only for what we use, eliminating the need for expansive
hardware and software.
 Reliability: Data is often backed up and protected in multiple locations.
 Efficiency: Could providers handle maintenance and updates.

Common Cloud Services:

 Cloud Storage: Storing files online (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox)

 Cloud Computing: Running applications on remote servers (e.g., Microsoft Office 365)
 Software as a Service (SaaS): Using software applications delivered over the internet (e.g.,
Salesforce, Zoom)
 Platform as a Service (PaaS): Developing and managing applications on a cloud platform
(e.g., Heroku)
 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Accessing computing resources like servers and storage
