Education is fundamental to our society and regardless of culture or background; it is my strong belief
that every individual should be entitled to an enriched learning experience. I firmly believe that no
matter from which background the children come from they are should all be exposed to recent trends
of education. One of the important trends observed is the recent legislation for teaching RSE
(Relationship and Sex Education) in September 2019. This will require all primary schools in England to
teach age-appropriate ‘relationships education’ . I am able to facilitate RSE topic with an approach that
is “sensitive to the needs of the local community” – and, crucially, to religious beliefs. My prior
experience in teaching field is one the most rewarding experience that made me explore a new world
around me. My previous role as a French language tutor to KS1 to KS4 students in ......(Please write the
name of school). It was through this challenging experience that I realised I possess the patience and
empathy to engage with all levels of learner. While working here I have used varied methods like
activity based learning, use of technology and storytelling to assist children with their personal growth.
The thought of shaping the way young minds process information and learn, it particularly interesting.
Children continually challenge ideas and it is imperative that a good teacher can communicate with
students from different cultural and social backgrounds. A good teacher will encourage positive
learning that encourages students to challenge ideas in a fun way. It is always my aim to create an
enriching learning environment, by implementing new teaching techniques . For example I have used
online testing during my work as an assistant teacher as Bridge Academy School. I used the ICT facilities
to introduce a different method of assessment to track the progress of students moving from KS2
towards KS3. These efforts worked well as and the virtual learning was received well by the students
who had difficulties in “normal” test environments. My ability to diffuse potentially stressful situations
has been recognised by Bridge Academy School. I am often described as having an exceptional sense of
humour which has provided me with strong communicative skills and the ability to remain calm under
pressure. To continue my own learning, I have undertaken voluntary work at (please mention name of
place here....) where I had the privilege of assisting children with both physical and mental disabilities,
to understand shapes, colours and numbers. The mental wellbeing of children is of the upmost
importance to me, and this role was of particular interest because I had to adjust my own teaching
style. For example – although many young persons are heavily influenced by technology, which
encourages me to use technology as a learning tool, the children at Bridge Academy School had little
interest in iPads and virtual learning. I encouraged socialisation through pair work and role-play, which
helped me to better appreciate the importance of teamwork within a classroom setting. My goal is to
obtain the position of primary educator where my passion towards development of children is utilized
and I get an opportunity to keep up with the cutting edge of the teaching technologies. I am keen to
facilitate a learning process that will mutually benefit both the students and myself where I offer my
knowledge to students and gain experience that will motivate me to come up with innovative way in
the field of primary education.
