Time - is the measured or measurable period during which an action, process or condition exists or continues. It is
a non renewable resource for all human being but abused by many Individual. Time is not something that we can
get back again once passed, although It's freely available resource. And wise utilization of time is very beneficial for
success, happiness & peace of mind. much like money, time is both valuable and limited, it must be saved, used
wisely and budgeted.
Time management - is the ability to plan & control how someone spend the hours in a day to accomplish his/her
goals effectively. Good time management is necessary to accomplish bigger results in a shorter period which leads
to more freedom, helps you to focus better and to be more productive, to feel less stressed, to get more things
done...etc.

10.2 Note taking & Study skills
In order to succeed in learning, it's necessary to take good notes. and The following strategies are considered for
better note-taking during classroom lessons.
• Getting organized - having all the necessary materials such as pen and notebook.
• Before class - before getting in a class -
- Determine the lecture topic and review past notes
- Complete readings assigned to lecture topic and review other materials
- Prepare question you may have from the reading
• During class - Date yor notes, Keep the objective/theme of class in mind , Record note in your own words and if
you fall behind, stop make a mark in your notebook, listen for a few minutes until you feel caught up.
3 Common note taking methods
1. Cornell method - It brakes the note in 3 section (cue column, note-taking column & summary) to allow organized
recording and review main points.
2. Outlining - recording main ideas to the left marigins of the page of exercise book
3. Charting - is good for courses which require comparison/contrasts.

- Make a discussion with your classmate about the lecture
- Visit your professor during office hours with questions.
- Instead of recopying your notes, record yourself reviewing what you know and speak it loud.
