MATERIALS
• 200 g of fingering weight yarn
(≈ 800 m / 875 yd)
• 3.5 mm / US #4 circular needle

seagull of min. 80 cm / 32 in length


• 1 larger needle tip to bind off
• 6 markers
• 1 removable marker (e.g. safety pin)

SIZE

Yarn: Malabrigo Sock | Color: Sandbank


Lenth: approx. 200 cm / 79 in
Height: approx. 60 cm / 24 in
Measurements at 22 sts 50 r | 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in.
Exact gauge is not important for knitting, but it affects
the size of your scarf.

ABBREVIATIONS
st/s stitch/es pm place marker
r row/s slm slip marker
[RS] Right side rm remove marker
[WS] Wrong side m1r make one right – insert the left needle from back to
k knit front into the horizontal strand between the stitches
p purl and knit this strand through the front loop to twist
kfb knit into front and back of stitch the stitch
ssk Slip 2 stitches individually as if to m1l make one right – insert the left needle from front to
knit, then knit these 2 sts together back into the horizontal strand between the stitches
When I get too close to the seagulls with the through the back loop and knit this strand through the back loop to twist
