Received the prayer of Inspector of Customs, Tetulia P.U., North 24- Parganas
praying for registering a case u/s 20(b) of NDPS Act.
Accused not named.
Perused the same.
Register the case being no. N- 36 of 2025 of this court.
Seen another prayer praying for Certification of Correctness of Inventory
Photographs and samples of Seized Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances,
Controlled Substances and Conveyances under section 52A(2) of the NDPS Ac, 1985,
along with List of Inventory.
The petition is taken up for consideration.
Heard the Ld. Spl. P.P and perused the material available on record.
The application is considered and the Inspector Customs is allowed to take in
presence of Ld. Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat, the photographs of seized
Narcotic Drugs /Psychotropic Substances (Phensedyl Cough Syrup- 49 bottles) of which
he has prepared the inventory list and to draw the representative samples of such
Narcotic Drugs /Psychotropic Substances.
The Ld. Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat is requested to certify the
correctness of inventory which is prepared by the I.O. of the seized Narcotic
Drugs/Psychotropic Substances and to certify, after taking photographs of such Narcotic
Drugs/Psychotropic Substances, such photographs as true and also to certify, after
drawing the representative samples of such Narcotic Drugs/Psychotropic Substances, the
correctness of the list of samples so drawn.

Ld. Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat is hereby requested further to send to
this Court a copy of the documents prepared by him/her at the time of preparation of the
said inventory, for information of this court.
Let the copy of this order be sent to the Ld. Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat
and to the Officer(s) of the Inspector of Customs, Tetulia Cus. P.U., for information.
The concerned Officer(s) of the Inspector of Customs, Tetulia Cus. P.U., is also
hereby directed to appear before the Ld. Judicial Magistrate, 2 nd Court, Barasat, North
24 Parganas, for fixing a date for such purpose.
Inform all concerned accordingly.
To 29-03-2025 for report from Investigating Officer.
