Summative

A crew of five young scientists embarks on a mission to reach a neutron star, approximately 2 billion km away, using an advanced spaceship called Milano. After successfully launching from Earth and traveling through space, they cover significant distances, including stops at the moon and Mars, while managing resources like food and oxygen. Upon reaching their destination, they collect vibranium and prepare for the return journey, having traveled a total of 2,336,400,000 km over 103 days.

Our destination is to go to the Neutron Star,

which is about 2 billion km away.

GRID MAP:

FIRST JOURNAL ENTRY

We will take off in Hawthorne, California, 2030 (because this

ship has been in the making for 20 years since 2010 and
with its advanced technology it is ready in 2030) where the
SpaceX Headquarters is. We will be using the Milano made
by the Ravagers (First Model), made by a dying star and
titanium, it has 4 double thrusters and is a really powerful
ship made by SpaceX and Peter Quill and it is also owned
by Peter Quill. Our crew consists of Yousuf who is 18 years
old and has a code name of T’Challa, Fateh who is 18 years
old and has a code name of Bobby, Nauman who is 19 years
old and has a code name of Rocket , Yahya who is 18 years
old and has a code name of Scraat and Shafay who is 18
and has a code name of Mark 3, five of these scientists are
on a mission to go furthest from earth, and find a shocking
discovery. The engine used for the vehicle is the Eidos Dawn
Engine. For the ship to function it used advanced technology
so it is a semi electric vehicle it uses both gas and electricity.
The speed of our spaceship is 200 km\s. The destination we
have to reach is the neutron star because it has some pieces
of vibranium which is a metal with force and is needed for
upcoming SpaceX projects. But to reach Saturn it would take
80 days which is 1944 hours.

SECOND JOURNAL ENTRY:

It is 8th October, 2030 and the time has come to launch the
Milano Spaceship, which had been in the making for 20
years by the famous company SpaceX. It is 7:19 am one
minute before the launch of the infamous Milano. It was time
to take off, T'Challa had started the spaceship and it was in
the air, Rocket was fixing the fridge and Mark 3, Scraat and
Bobby were fixing the emergency pod into the hatch. We
have taken off and are in the Exosphere, the ship is going
well. We are at coordinates 33.9164 North. We have entered
space and have exited the atmosphere of earth.
We have successfully made it to the space station. It's 2030.
Now finally we have made it to our destination safely. It is
one of the most famous dreams astronauts have to safely
make it to the space station. The space station has a lot of
different features. We barely made it, because the battery
wasn't fully charged, but we made it safely, and the time we
were there it got charged, the captain announced. Now we
are leaving after charging the Ship we are boarded and
heading to our destination.
Right now we are just crossing the moon and while we made
a stop at the space station we only covered about 400 km
because there isn't much distance, but now while crossing the
moon we have covered a distance of 384,400 thousand km
including the stop at the Space Station.

THIRD JOURNAL ENTRY:

Scraat was checking how much distance had we covered,
everyone was feeling pretty hyped up because the ship was
going at a decent pace and Scraat just mentioned we have
covered a whopping distance of 224 million km since
leaving the moon, then rocket mentions we are crossing over
mars , then everyone got pretty excited, but the bobby asked
how many hours and days has it been since leaving the
moon. Then T’Challa says we would need to convert distance
into time so if we convert 224 million km to hours it would be:
time: 224 million km\ 200 km per second
Time: 1,120,000 seconds
But we have just figured how many hours it took us so now
we need to convert seconds to hours. If 1 hour is equivalent
to 3600 seconds that means if we divide this by 1,120,000
hours it would take us 311 hours and when we convert hours
into days it is 12 days.

FOURTH JOURNAL ENTRY:

So far we have come a long way and you might ask about
our oxygen levels, well they are going pretty well as Bobby
and Mark 3 came prepared , they recycled exhaled CO2 ,
which converts carbon dioxide into oxygen, and was keeping
the crew fit and healthy. T’ Challa and Rocket came
prepared with fully prepped meals but also packets of food
which have dried food in them. But T’Challa made a
statement that there were 100 boxes of meals and 100
packets of food but already 10 boxes and 15 packets had
been eaten. Everyone had a balanced meal but Rocket and
Mark 3 decided to eat a little more so how are we going to
split the rest of the boxes. Bobby said we have 90 boxes left
and 85 packets left so if we eat 3 meals and 2 packets
everyday that means in our travel of 80 days we will have
plenty amount of food, because 12 days have passed so
there are 68 days left and we have a large amount of food
which can last us even more days, so now rocket and mark 3
can have their big portions. In space gravity is absent and it
feels like we have no weight on us especially when we are
floating.

FIFTH JOURNAL ENTRY:

Scraat informs me it's been some time and has anyone
opened the covers\blinds, Mark 3 says let me check. Mark 3
see’s and gets shocked by a massive thing he was looking at,
Scraat comes and says WE ARE CROSSING JUPITER, he
says we must’ve covered some distance. Rocket says yeah we
have so when we left mars we have covered a pretty high
number of distances, so rocket starts calculating, and says
we have covered 800 million km since leaving mars but I
need to figure out how many hours and days have crossed,
because it seemed like a hefty large amount of time. So now
Rocket needs to convert distance into time. Rocket first says
its been 4,000,000 seconds but he realizes every other
animal is asking for the hours or days so rocket converts
seconds into hours and says we have covered 1111 hours ,
happy that you know, then Scraat says “ how many days”
then rocket gets angry and converts hours to seconds which
is 46 days, then rocket goes and grabs a packet of food and
starts eating. T’Challa informs us we are still crossing Jupiter
but have come forward but says it’s a big planet.
Bobby asks everyone to sum up all the distance we have
covered from Earth to the space station to the moon, mars
and jupiter. Mark 3 replies saying we would need to add
everything up, 800 million km + 224 million + 384,400+=
1558,400,000.

SIXTH JOURNAL ENTRY

Guys it’s been so much time , wait do I see rings says

T’Challa, Scraat comes and says woah , yes those are rings,
GUYS WE ARE NEAR THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE
NEUTRON STAR , technically on it , everyone comes to the
front deck and is amazed, they have been traveling in space
for so much time to accomplish this. But Mark 3 and Rocket
mention that we need solving first of how much time we have
covered. T’Challa says we have covered 778 million km as the
radar says but what the radar doesn’t say is the time so
that's up to you guys while I descend. Rocket says we need to
convert distance into time. First step: find out how many
seconds has it been: 3,890,000 seconds which in hours is,
1080 hours which is 45 days. We have finally accomplished
our mission , now let's buckle up into our suits and grab that
vibranium and place the flags of our nations. We grabbed
tons of vibranium and placed the flags and explored a bit
and got back in our ships to head back to mother earth. We
were in the ships on the ride back successfully but we had to
sum up all the time and distance. The distance we covered
adding up 800 million km + 778 million km + 224 million +
384,400 thousand is= 2,336,400,000 billion km.
For time 46 days + 45 days + 12 days is 103 days and our
hours are 1080 + 1111+ 311 hours= 2422 hours of travel. Scraat
said we have gone a little bit over time but at least we
reached our destination, well that happened because we had
some stops in the way but i'm just concerned that we have
no food left. Elon musk comes to the radar saying
congratulations on this mission, and don't worry about time
you get it covered and rocket don't worry about the food
check underneath the couch next to you, Rocket checks and
finds a hidden compartment with extra supplies so they can
get back. T’Challa said it seems like you knew we would go
over time Elon, Musk replies yes now have a safe 102 days
trip back to earth.
