PART-B

Title of Micro-Project: Visit segregation or recycling setups in Local area to

learn workflow of Packaging Life Cycle.
Brief Description: Visiting segregation or recycling setups in the local area offers a unique
opportunity to learn about the workflow of the packaging life cycle. Upon arrival, you’ll witness the
collection of waste from households, commercial establishments, and community bins, followed by
sorting into different categories such as paper, plastic, glass, and organic waste. The sorted materials
are then cleaned to remove contaminants, compressed into bales, and transported to recycling
facilities. At the recycling facility, baled materials are processed into raw materials, transformed into
new packaging products, and inspected for quality and purity. This hands-on experience provides
valuable insights into the importance of segregation, efficiency of recycling, and challenges faced
by recycling facilities, ultimately fostering a deeper appreciation for sustainable packaging practices.
