Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

First of all, let us offer praise and gratitude to the presence of God Almighty Allah swt,
because by His mercy and grace we can gather here in good condition. Don't forget to send our
salaam and shalawat to our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW who brought us from the darkness
to lightness era. The honorable all the judges and the participant here, I am Michaela Hersyanti
Putri, today I am standing here, I would like to deliver my speech about being patriotism.

Ladies and gentleman

Today I want to talk about patriotism, an important value that we must always implementing in
our daily lives. Patriotism is not just about fighting on the battlefield like the heroes of the past.
Today, patriotism can be manifested in various forms.First, maintain national unity and unity, as
a large and diverse nation, Indonesia has various tribes, religions, cultures, and regional
languages. This diversity is a wealth that we must protect together. If we do not maintain unity,
this nation can be divided. There are several things we can do to maintain national unity,
including: emplemanting an attitude of tolerance, maintaining a sense of mutual cooperation,
avoiding selfish and self-centered attitudes, be wise in using social media, loving the homeland
with real actions

Ladies and gentleman

Second, appreciating the services of heroes. We can honor them by continuing the struggle
through education and hard work for the nation. History records that the independence we enjoy
today was not something that was given for granted. This independence is the result of a long
struggle by heroes who were willing to sacrifice their souls, bodies, and possessions to free the
Indonesian nation from colonialism. They fought selflessly for a better future for all of us. As the
next generation, we must not forget the services of the heroes. We may not be able to fight like
them, but we can appreciate their struggle in various ways, including: first, remembering and
honoring their sacrifice for example, we can do this by solemnly attending flag ceremonies,
visiting heroes' graves, and studying the history of the nation's struggle. Second, upholding
national values, we have to being honest, fair, disciplined and responsible is a real form of
respecting the struggle of the heroes.
Ladies and gentleman,

Last but not least is maintain and fill independence in a good and useful way. There are various
ways we can fill independence with positive things, including: first, study hard as students, our
obligation is to study hard. With knowledge, we can build the nation to be more advanced and
not lag behind other countries. Second, we have to protect the environment, the real one action of
filling independence is maintaining cleanliness and preserving nature, because a healthy
environment reflects an advanced nation.

Ladies and gentleman,

Never feel that patriotism is only the task of leaders government. We all have a role in
maintaining and building this country. Let's start from small things, such as discipline, working
hard, and always upholding national values.
