VIVA TELEVISION CORPORATION (VTV)

Overview of the Company

VIVA Entertainment, Inc., also known as Viva Entertainment Group is a Philippine entertainment company. Its history started in 1981 when Vicente "Vic" del Rosario, Jr. founded Viva Films. Viva TV is a 24-hour-a-day top rated Filipino-language channel broadcast from Manila, Philippines. Viva TV brings you the latest and most popular movies out of the Philippines. The channel offers a variety of other programming such as high-powered concerts, compelling TV series, music videos and sports. Under the tradename VIVA FILMS Spurred by the tremendous success and nationwide appeal of his young music talent (Sharon Cuneta), Mr. Vicente del Rosario, Jr. (Vivas Chairman of the Board and CEO) hit on a brilliant idea - why not translate her albums success into the big screen (movies). So in 1981 Viva Films was born and the rest is history. With the video industrys consistent positive growth rate, the opportunities in the retail side of the business became too attractive and thus, were born Video City. From a strictly Sell Thru chain based solely in SM Malls (the Philippines largest retail/commercial/entertainment chain), Video City expanded aggressively into the high margin yet lower cost off mall rental market. This has transformed Video City into one of the largest video retail chains in the country.

From twelve (12) outlets in early 1997, Video City is now the undisputed Philippine market leader with nearly 200 outlets nationwide. This expansion continues to be fueled by an expanding

population base, non-stop urbanization driving a new lifestyle, and a middle class consumer base with stable purchasing power.

With this years so close to you campaign, Video City undoubtedly remains the countrys leading video rental and retail company, continuing its tradition of providing quality entertainment and customer satisfaction nationwide. It is consistently the only video shop that offers high quality and legitimate VCD and DVD titles. Its legitimacy and quality concept embodies the culture of excellence of VIVA.

and late processing of data during rush times. Also, the computer itself is old enough and cant go beyond competitive technologies nowadays. Video City always want their customers to perceived them as a quality oriented business, they want their customers to portray an image of being original and provide good customer service.
