Speaking Test Practice

Part 1: Warming-Up (2-3 minutes)

The examiner gets to know the candidate.

Sample Questions:

1. What's your name, and can you tell me a little about yourself?

2. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

3. Do you prefer spending time alone or with others? Why?

4. What is your favorite subject at school and why?

Part 2: Topic Presentation (3-4 minutes)

You speak for 2-3 minutes about a topic you have prepared.

Sample Topic: "The importance of learning English in today's world."

Guidelines:

- Why do people learn English?

- How can English help in future education or career?

- How do you personally use English in daily life?

- What challenges do you face while learning English?

Part 3: Follow-up Discussion (3-4 minutes)

Based on your topic, the examiner will ask further questions.

1. Do you think English will still be important in the future? Why or why not?

2. How does technology help in learning English?

3. Should schools focus more on teaching English or local languages?
