2.0 COURSE RATIONALE
Can you imagine the amount of harm that will be caused along the supply chain if its actors fail to
communicate the right information in the right way at the right time and place? In Supply chain,
communication is important among stakeholders in order to reduce cost, improve quality, save
time, avoid mistakes, reduce conflicts and ultimately create value. Irrespective of the quality of
work done at any point, it fails to be counted if it is not communicated in the right manner to the
relevant people. On a regular basis, staff of a thriving procurement office will need to
communicate with several stakeholders in order to obtain relevant information to carry out their
various tasks and to report task outcomes to the appropriate stakeholders. In this course all aspects
of Business Communication relevant to the Procurement practice is discussed.
