Good morning Sir, Good morning Ma’am.

Candidates, Don’t worry of their presence because they are


here to oversee the conduct of assessment. And to check if
the conduct of assessment is in accordance with the
prescribed competency assessment methodology and
procedure.

Before we start please submit your admission slips. As I call


your name just raise your hand for acknowledgement and
sign the attendance sheet. (Name names)

enumerated for Dressmaking NC II.

➢ Orient the trainees I would like to welcome all of you to our center for your
assessment for _____________ NC II. The purpose of our
assessment is to determine the level of your competency.

from English to your own dialect.

➢ Do’s & Don’ts During During the assessment you have to:

• Follow rules on use of facilities

However you are not allowed to:

• Using cellphones during the assessment
• Leaving the premises of the assessment center
• Loitering in the premises of the assessment center

➢ Rights & Appeal • In case you have any questions regarding the
System assessment result you have the right to appeal. You
can submit your appeal to the Assessment Center
Manager within 24 hours after the assessment.
➢ ISSUANCE OF NAT’L • For the issuance of the National Certificate it will be
CERT or COC sent to you within 3 working days after the assessment
through your active email account. With a validity
period of 5 years.

➢ Re-Assessment • If you found to be NOT YET COMPETENT don’t worry


Procedures because you can Re-assess anytime at your own
convenience.
• In case the re-assessment is full qualification you have
to undergo the whole assessment process.
• If you are found to be COMPETENT in some units of
competencies the re-assessment shall focus on the
certain competency that you are found to be not yet
competent.
• If you failed two consecutive assessment, you will be
advised to undergo a refresher course before applying
for re-assessment.

➢ Occupational Safety • During the actual assessment please observe safety as


& Health Procedures you perform the different tasks. Always wear your PPE.
In case of accident please call my attention
immediately to provide first aid. The first aid cabinet is
located at the right side of the exit door.
➢ Confidentiality of • With the result of your assessment , we observe strict
Assessment confidentiality, this is to ensure integrity, the result is

institution where you had your actual training.

• In relation to this the assessment package is kept in a


secured place.

• May I ask you candidates to refrain from giving away,


any information that took place during the assessment
process.

• I have here your accomplished consent form this is in


relation to the strict implementation of the conduct of
assessment and certification program of TESDA, that
is why the consent from the assessment candidate and
assessor is hereby required in pursuant to RA 10173
Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its implementing rules
and regulations.
➢ Provide specific • If you don’t have any questions, I will now distribute
instructions to the the “Specific Instructions”. Please read them carefully,
candidates. if you have questions please ask it now. I may be able
to translate it for you. If you need assistance, then I will
be more willing to assist you. I will give you 10 minutes
for you to read the specific instructions. I will collect it
later after the demonstration.

the assessment starts you are not allowed anymore to

that after the demonstration there will be an oral questioning.

Assessor: Alright, Candidate 1 please proceed to the holding

DEMONSTRATION OF CANDIDATE NO. 2

➢ Assessor: Candidate no. 2 you will now proceed to the


assessment area for your demonstration. This way please.

Assessor: This is our assessment area where you are going to


perform taking client’s body measurements within 5 minutes.
Please read again the specific instruction.
• If you have questions, you may ask now, because when
the assessment starts you are not allowed anymore to
ask questions.

Candidate No.2: Sir/Ma’am, I don’t have any further


questions.

Assessor: In that regard you may begin. Please be informed


that after the demonstration there will be an oral questioning.

Assessor: Alright, Candidate 2 please proceed to the holding


area, I’ll call you later for oral questioning. Thank you

POST ASSESSMENT

➢ PROVIDE Assessor: Candidate 1. How do you feel about the


FEEDBACK assessment?
➢ Call Candidate no.1 C1: Sir/Ma’am I am confident that I was able to perform well
➢ (POSITIVE during the demonstration even though I had a hard time with
FEEDBACK) the written test and oral questioning.
Assessor: Based on my observation you are indeed competent
in performing the different skills for ____________ NC II.
However, I have noticed that you may improve the
correct position while taking clients body measurements.
Moreover, you are not confident in answering the questions
during the oral questioning.
Nevertheless, you are able to answer all questions
correctly. With that it showed that you are knowledgeable
enough in Dressmaking NC II. Congratulations you are
already competent. Please sign the Competency assessment
result summary (CARS) and your rating sheet. For the
issuance of your National certificate it will be sent to you
within 3 working days after the assessment via your active
email account.

➢ AFTER THE DEMO OF CANDIDATE 2


➢ Assessor: Candidate 2. How do you feel about the
assessment?

C2: I feel so nervous because I forgot the


proper____________________________. And I almost pass out
during the assessment.

Assessor: Really? In that manner what will you do if you will


be asked to demonstrate taking client’s body measurements
again?

C2: I will try my best to control my fears and focus on that


task being asked sir/ma’am.
Assessor: So, what did you learn from this session?

C2: I have learned that I should review on the knowledge and


skills from me to become confident. And also I will to focus
and practice more.

Assessor: Candidate no. 2, you are able to perform body


measurements for women’s blouse, actually you are very good
at it, however you are not able to follow the correct sequence
of taking client’s body measurements as well as correct
positioning.
Based on the result of my observation, during the
demonstration the outcome of the assessment is that you are
NOT YET COMPETENT, however you can be re-assessed
anytime at your convenience.
➢ Provide info on the Assessor: Candidate no. 2 if you have doubts regarding the
Appeal system and assessment result you have the right to appeal, you can
Re-Assessment submit your appeal to the assessment Center Manager within
Process 24 hours after the assessment.
