The Conceptual Framework above is to show how the tasks of the group
are connected. The Philippine flag is more than just a piece of fabric; it's
a powerful symbol that embodies the nation's history, aspirations, and
identity. Let's explore deeper into the meaning behind each element of
the flag.

During the activity, Group 1 is tasked to Identify the colors of the flag
(blue, red, white, and yellow) and the meaning of each color.
The colors of the Philippine flag hold powerful meanings that represent
the nation's ideals, struggles, and values.

Blue: The blue color of the flag represents peace, truth, and justice.
It reflects the Philippines' desire to maintain peace both within its
borders and in its relationships with other nations. The color evokes a
sense of calm and stability, signifying the nation’s commitment to truth
and fairness in governance and diplomacy.

Red: Red stands for courage, valor, and the bloodshed of Filipinos
who fought for the country's independence. It is a tribute to the
sacrifices made by the revolutionary heroes who were willing to lay
down their lives for the freedom of the Philippines. The red color
speaks to the bravery and strength of the Filipino people in times of
conflict, emphasizing the spirit of resistance and resilience.

White: The white color symbolizes purity, innocence, and equality. It

represents the Filipino people's aspirations for a peaceful and just
society, where all people are treated equally and fairly. This color
reminds citizens of their collective responsibility to maintain harmony
and justice in the nation.
Yellow: Yellow represents independence and the bright future of the
Philippines. It also reflects the nation's wealth in resources,
particularly the natural resources that the Philippines possesses.
Yellow is a symbol of hope and optimism for a prosperous future,
where the country will thrive and achieve its full potential.

In the group 2 activity they tasked is about the Explain the meaning of

Philippine flag is a crucial symbol of freedom and independence,
marking the birth of the nation after its struggle for liberation from
colonial rule. Its rays not only represent the sun's power but also
convey deep historical meaning.

The Sun: The sun symbolizes the emergence of a new, independent

nation after centuries of foreign rule. Its presence in the flag is a
reminder of the nation’s hard-won freedom, the hard work of the people
to build a independent state, and the new beginning for the Filipino
nation.

The Eight Rays: The eight rays of the sun symbolize the eight
provinces that first rose against Spanish colonial rule in 1896: Manila,
Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, and
Laguna. These provinces were crucial in the start of the Philippine
Revolution, and their courage and determination played a critical role in
the fight for independence. The eight rays honor their sacrifice and
serve as a reminder of the nation's revolutionary beginnings.

For the other element of the National Flag has assign in group 3 which

Mindanao).

The three stars on the Philippine flag represent the three major
geographical regions of the country, symbolizing the unity of the

northernmost island. Luzon is not only the political and economic
center of the Philippines but also holds a deep historical significance in
the country’s revolutionary movements.

Visayas (Left Star): The left star represents the Visayas, the central

southernmost island. Mindanao is known for its diverse culture and
significant role in the history of the country. The stars together embody
the unity of the islands and the interconnectedness of the Filipino
people across the archipelago.

These stars serve as a constant reminder that the Philippines is one

nation, composed of diverse regions, each contributing to the strength
and unity of the whole country.

For the last group which is group 4: Write the significance of the flag in
historical events.

The Philippine flag is not just a symbol of national pride but also a
historical marker of key events in the country's journey to
independence and sovereignty.

Raising the Flag in Kawit, Cavite (1898): One of the most significant
moments in the history of the Philippines was on June 12, 1898, when
General Emilio Aguinaldo officially raised the Philippine flag in Kawit,
Cavite, marking the declaration of Philippine independence from Spain.
This event symbolizes the birth of the independent Filipino nation,
where the flag became a beacon of freedom and the nation's
aspirations for self-governance.

The Flag During the Philippine-American War: During the

Philippine-American War, the Philippine flag became a symbol of
resistance against American colonization. The flag was used to rally
the Filipino people in their struggle to protect their sovereignty and
resist foreign control.

The Flag Today: Today, the Philippine flag remains a powerful symbol
of national pride, unity, and sovereignty. It is prominently displayed
during national holidays, official events, and ceremonies, reminding the
Filipino people of the sacrifices made by their ancestors in the fight for
independence and the ongoing pursuit of justice and freedom. The flag
continues to serve as a symbol of hope for a better future and a united
nation.

The Philippine flag is a vibrant symbol of the nation's history, values,

and aspirations. Every element, from its colors and symbols to its
historical significance, serves as a reminder of the struggles and
triumphs of the Filipino people. It reflects their courage, unity, and
ongoing pursuit of justice and freedom, making it an enduring emblem
of national pride and identity.

The presentation of the tasks by each group, gave them chance to
