b) demonstrate the importance of understanding the intensions of words used in a propaganda.

The students will guess the name of the product or service based on the given tagline.
(Before we start discussing the lesson, let us find out how much you know about the
topics covered in this module)
Game Title: Linya Ko, Hula Mo!
Game Mechanics:
1. There will be two teams.
2. The team will guess the correct name of a brand on the tagline that will flashed on the
television.
3. The team who got many correct answers will be the winner.
Tag Lines:
a. We find ways
b. Bida ang saya!
c. Finger lickin good

C. ANALYSIS
Where do we usually find the Tag lines?
Did you buy a product base on its tag lines?
D. ABSTRACTION
The teacher will discuss the definition of propaganda techniques and its seven (7) types.
What is Propaganda? Publicly to promote something: information put out by an organization or
government to promote a policy, idea, or cause misleading or distorted information that is
systematically spread.
Types of Propaganda Techniques
There are a number of ways and/or techniques on how to persuade people to buy
products, accept ideas and avail services.
1. Card Stacking
2. Name Calling
3. Plain Folks
4. Glittering Generalities
5. Transfer
6. Bandwagon
7. Testimonial
E. APPLICATION
1. The teacher will be grouping the students into three.
2. Each group will advertise any product and perform a 2 minute advertisement
using one of the propaganda techniques that is being discussed.
3. They will be given 5 minutes to prepare and 2 minutes each to present their
output.
4. They will be graded on the given criteria below:

F. ASSESSMENT
The teacher will ask the students to get ½ sheet of paper.
Directions: Analyze the intentions of words and expressions used in taglines and answer
the questions that follow.
Questions:
1. Which of the taglines do you think are more enticing for people to buy the product?
2. Which information of tagline do you find less convincing?
IV. ASSIGNMENT
Direction: Think of a product you may want to promote and choose only one on the types of
propaganda techniques that are being discussed. What propaganda technique you might want to use in
promoting your chosen product? Explain and expound your answer in 2 to 3 sentences.
