CLASS : XII
SUBJECT : MATHEMATICS (APPLIED)
Name: Scholar No. Class Sec.
Dear Students,
For the session 2025– 2026, following is the HOLIDAY HOMEWORK for APPLIED
MATHEMATICS (241). It contains Project, Lab activities and Assignment from Unit-II
Algebra. You have to submit the minimum 30 pages project (spiral binding), lab activities
in Math practical file and assignment in your notebook.
APPLIED MATHEMATICS
• List of Projects: (Any One)
1. Collect the data for the past 10 years for the amount of rainfall received in Bhopal
during month of AUGUST. Predict the amount of rainfall for the AUGUST
2025.
2. Collect the data for the past 10 years of air pollution caused by 4-wheeler in our
country, and correlate with the pollution levels of any other country.
3. Analysis of career graph of a cricketer i.e. batting average of batsman and
bowling average of bowler. Conclude the best year of his career (for at least 10
batsman and 10 bowlers).
4. Analysis of population migration in our country for the past 10 years and explain
the positive and negative influences on urbanization.
5. Each day newspaper tells us about the maximum temperature, minimum
temperature and humidity. Collect the data for a period of 30 days of APRIL
2025 and represent it graphically. Compare it with the data available for the same
time period for the previous year.
6. Another popular one is to obtain product and pricing data from e-commerce sites
for Data Analysis and decision making. For instance, extract product information
about Bluetooth speakers on Amazon, or collect reviews and prices on various
tablets and laptops. This means you can start with a product that has a small
number of reviews, and then start analysing with previous feedbacks, reviews on
that particular product, and upscale according to the parameters you could
choose for better sales.
7. Forecasting Uber/ Rapido Demands.
8. Earthquake prediction using past data.
NOTE – Project should be Handwritten and should contains at least 20 pages (It should
include Cover page, Certificate, Acknowledgement, Index / content, conclusions,
Bibliography) the written part should be done on ruled pages i.e., on Right hand side
while the charts, graphs etc. should be drawn on blank pages i.e. on Left hand side.

5. To find the Probability and Dice Roll Simulation using Excel.
NOTE –
1. Practical (Lab activities) should be Handwritten and should be done in
Mathematics practical file, the written part should be done on ruled pages i.e.
on Right hand side while the drawing, charts, graphs etc. should be drawn on
