RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR BIOLYMPICS

GENERAL AND PLAYER CONDUCT


• In the event of a walkover where a teams are not present,
such team automatically loses.
• No player must confront or make physical contact with
the match officials
• Incorrect conduct by a team member towards officials,
opponents, team-mates and spectators shall be sanctioned according
to the seriousness, by the officials.
• A team member who is sanctioned by expulsion must be
substituted legally and immediately. if on court / field, the player shall
not participate for the rest of the match, and must go to the team’s
dressing room until the completion of the ongoing set with no other
consequences.
• Persistent infringement or violence will lead to
suspension from the tournament.
• All rules concerning the technique of the play of all games
MUST be followed.
• All representative must be registered before the
beginning of the tournament.
• All teams should be available, 30minutes before the Kick-
off.
• VERY IMPORTNT : Athletes are encouraged to warm up
properly before their events to reduce the risk of injury.

• FOOTBALL{MALE}
• Matches are 60 minutes long, divided into two 30-minute
halves with a 10-minute halftime break.
• 11 players must be on the pitch as soon as its time for the
match and each team is allowed a maximum of 7 subs per match.
• Players must respect referees and opponents. Serious
foul play may result in a red card.
• Proper football boots and shin guards must be worn.
• Goalkeepers must wear shirts of a different color to
distinguish them from other players and referees.
• No metal studs or dangerous accessories allowed.
• In case of a tie, matches may go into extra time and/or
penalties according to the tournament rules.
• A yellow card is a warning; a red card results in
immediate ejection from the game and suspension for the next match.
• The penalty shootout consists of 5 penalty kicks per
team, with the team scoring the most winning. If tied after 5 kicks,
sudden death penalties are used.
• Machinery will not be allowed for any level, if caught after
the game that leads to 50 point deduction
• There will be a compulsory registration for all players by
the Department and a proof they are from the department.
• FOOTBALL{FEMALE}

• Matches are 20 minutes long, divided into two 10-minute


halves with a 7-minute halftime break.
• 5 players must be on the pitch as soon as its time for the
match and each team is allowed a maximum of 5 subs per match.
• Players must respect referees and opponents. Serious
foul play may result in a red card.
• Proper football boots and shin guards must be worn.
• Goalkeepers must wear shirts of a different color to
distinguish them from other players and referees.

the tournament rules.

• BASKETBALL {MIXED}
• Games consist of four quarters, each 10 minutes long,
with a 2-minute break between quarters and a 10-minute halftime.
• A total of 9 players including subs.
• Substitutions can be made during stoppages in play.
• Points are awarded for successful field goals (2 or 3
points) and free throws (1 point each).
• Each team is allowed 7 full timeouts per game, with up to
3 in the first half and 4 in the second half. Additionally, there are 2 30-
second timeouts per game.
• Players must wear appropriate basketball shoes and
jerseys. No jewellery or accessories allowed.
• In case of a tie, the game may go into overtime periods
as needed.

VOLLEYBALL {MIXED}
• A team should be made up of 9 players. 6 players to be
on the court at all times, which must include at least one (1) female
player at all times.
• A match is divided into sets (best two out of three)
• A set is won by the team that first scores 25 points with a
minimum lead of two points
• In cases where both teams each win a set, the match
shall proceed to a third set which would be won by the first team to
score 15 points with a minimum lead of two points
• Players can hit the ball with any part of their body, but
they cannot catch or hold the ball.
• Teams have three chances (touches) to return the ball to
the opponent’s court
• If the ball lands outside the court, or if a team fails to
return the ball to the opponent’s court after three touches, the other
team scores a point.
• If the serving team wins a rally, they continue to serve.
• If the receiving team wins a rally, they score a point and
become the new serving team.
• Touching the net or crossing the centre line with any part
of the body (foul).
• Catching or holding the ball (foul).
• A player hitting the ball twice in a row or hitting the ball
with an open hand (foul).
• Reaching over the net and touching the ball or opponent
(foul).
• Serving out of turn or out of bounds (foul).
• Each team is allowed two timeouts per set, lasting 60
seconds each.
• Timeouts can be called by the coach or any player on the
court.

• INDOOR GAMES {Chess,Ludo,Scrabble,Table


Tennis,CODM and Console}
• Players must adhere to fair play rules. Cheating or
unsportsmanlike behaviour will result in penalties or disqualification.
• Use only tournament-approved equipment. For Table
Tennis, use standard paddles and balls; for Chess, use standard
boards and pieces.
• Matches are won by achieving the required score or by
checkmate in Chess. Scores are recorded according to game rules.
• CODM: 1 person per team will be allowed to play the
match.
• TABLE TENNIS: 2 per team{Male and Female} per team.
• LUDO: 1 person per team will be allowed to play the
match.
• CHESS: 1 person per team will be allowed to play the
match.
• SCRABBLE:1 person per team will be allowed to play the
match.
• CONSOLE: 1 person per team will be allowed to play the
match.
• NOTE:Matches are typically played best of 3 games.

• ATHLETICS {MALE AND FEMALE}
• Events vary from 100m to 1500m.
• Runners must stay in their assigned lanes or sections;
lane infringement can result in disqualification.
• Starts are from starting blocks.
• More than one false start can result in the disqualification
of the offending athlete or team.
• Includes races like the 100m,400m and Marathon. These
races may start in lanes and transition to a free-running position after a
certain distance.
• 4x100m, Teams of four runners each pass a baton within
a designated exchange zone. An exchange outside these zones leads
to disqualification.
• Races are timed, and the fastest time wins. Ties are
resolved by photo finish if necessary.
• NOTE: All events will be 2 representative per team
