• Learning from Site Engineers

Isa sa most valuable aspects sa aming OJT


experience ay matuto directly sa site engineers, from
interpreting plans to managing work on-site.

Natutunan namin kung paano makipagcoordinate sa


different workers, and ma-ensure na sinusunod ng
construction process ang schedule and safety standards.
They also introduced us to different construction
materials and explained their functions. Also, ginuide
rin nila kami sa construction cost estimation and sa
pag prepare ng cutting list.

Another important highlight is…

• Building Strong Relationships with workers

Sa pag engage sa kanila, nagkaroon kami ng better


understanding sa actual workflow, construction methods,
at labor concerns.

It taught us humility and respect… that success in


a construction project is not just about design or
calculations, but also about teamwork and
communication.
The next one is…

• Making Video Reports

Part ng aming weekly tasks ang pag gawa ng video


reports para mapakita ang progress ng bawat site. It
helped improve our skills in observation,
documentation, and creativity.

They were also useful in tracking milestones and


identifying challenges faced during the construction.

And the last but not the least,

• Conducting Construction Estimates

Which is the process of forecasting the total cost


of a project — including materials, labor, equipment,
and other resources.

Isa itong mahalagang parte ng project planning


dahil kapag accurate ang estimates, mae-eensure na ang
projects ay mag-sstay within the budget.

Through this, we improved our attention to detail,


learned how to read bill of quantities, and used tools
like MS Excel for calculations.
[Conclusion]

In summary, our OJT experience helped us grow both


technically and personally. Kaya naman sobrang grateful
kami sa guidance ng DHD and V.C. team. From site
visits, learning with site engineers, building strong
relationship with workers, and conducting construction
estimates. These highlights will surely guide us as we
continue our journey in the field of civil engineering.
