One Chip AM/FM Radio with Audio Power Amplifier

Description
The integrated circuit TDA1083 includes, with exception of the
FM front end, a complete AM-FM-radio-circuit with audio Features
power amplifier. An internal Z-diode stabilizes the supply
z Large supply voltage range VS=3 to 12V
voltage at Vs=13V, which allows with the aid of a resistor and
z High AM-Sensitivity
a rectifier, the circuit to be driven by a higher external supply
voltage. z Limiting threshold voltage Vi=50µV
z Audio output power P0=0.7W
Applications z AFC-connection for VHF-tuner
z AM-/FM- and audio-amplifier z AM-FM switching without high frequency voltages

Different dc voltages are developed at Pin 16 due to gain spread of AM-IF-amplifier. To determine the value of parallel resistance
R8, at the output of the demodulator Pin 8 for Vs =9V, AM mode without signal, dc voltage should be selected at Pin 16.
