Reading is a key foundation of learning and plays a vital role in developing learners’’ critical
thinking and communication skills. To promote a culture of reading and support literacy development,
the school will conduct an advance School-Based Reading Month Celebration ahead of the official
National Reading Month in November. This initiative aims to engage learners early in a variety of fun
and meaningful reading activities that spark interest, foster love for books, and improve
comprehension skills.

Through enjoyable activities such draw-and-tell, storytelling, chorale reading, spelling, and reading
games, learners will experience reading as both educational and exciting. By celebrating in advance,
the school also creates opportunities to address reading challenges early and reinforce literacy as a
joyful, shared experience among learners, teachers, and the community.
