Job Title: Embedded Software Lead
Department: Noise is working on initiatives that drives its long term
growth and market share. The role will work to develop Embedded
systems framework to support this initiative.
Role: At Noise, the Embedded Software team will be responsible to drive
the Embedded systems initiatives to drive long term growth and R&D
efforts. The new vertical will be a mix of embedded hardware, software
and testing. So everyone on the team will wear the entrepreneurial hat
and work in a highly collaborative environment. This position requires a
high degree of flexibility as well as analytical and interpersonal skills. We
will development the system at every level – from drivers and operating
system to advanced user interface algorithms. The team will also work
closely with the application team that works on cloud based applications
and open source web/mobile technologies.

Responsibilities & Duties :
You will get a chance to create products from scratch. While you will get
the advantage of the scale of organization, you are expected to come up
with your creative solutions to challenging problems. To work with cross-
cultural teams, you will need to demonstrate high degree of ownership
and collaboration.
In a typical day, you’d be working with highly skilled engineers to solve
complex problems. This is an early stage initiative at Noise. Your ability to
translate business requirements, develop and demonstrate quick
prototypes or concepts with other technology teams will be of great value.
You will learn and work on a variety of languages such as C/C++, python,
Linux as well as work on BLE, MEMS and biometric sensors and the latest
wireless technologies.
Core skills:
1. 6+ years of Embedded firmware development experience in C/C++
2. BLE/GPS/GSM/RTOS stack expertise
3. Hands-on experience with Lab equipment (VNA/RSA/MSO etc).
4. Testing environment setup using automation scripts and networking
equipment.
5. Review and plan future product upgrades with the development
teams
6. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best
practices for full software development life cycle, including coding
standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous
deployments, testing and operations
7. Familiar with Wireless/IoT network protocols and standards.
8. Experience with microcontrollers, sensors and serial communication.
9. Preferred experience with wearOS/Tizen
10. Superior presentation and communication skills, both written
and verbal
Qualifications :
- Bachelors/Masters degree in electrical/electronic/communications
engineering, information technology, physics or a related field from
Tier 1 Tier 2 Engineering colleges only (IITs/NITs/IIITs/BITS etc.)
- Result oriented and ready to take ownership. Exhibit strong team
work qualities.
- Able to analyse problems and conduct effective issue diagnosis and
recommend systematic steps toward recovery.
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal
setting.
