Testing eWon connectivity
It is very important that to find out, if the IP address we have is a static or a dynamic/DHCP address.
Test the network with a PC.
Make sure the net card in the PC is configured for DHCP - Settings - Network & Internet - Ethernet – Change
adapter settings - Right click on network card - Properties - Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) – and
check ”Obtain an IP address automatically + Obtain DNS server address automatically.”
Connect an ethernet cable to the 2nd WAN port
on the eWON Modem and connect it to the PC.
Test if the PC can connect to the Internet. You
must be able to connect to different Websites on
the internet to be sure that the connection works
(DHCP).
If you are not able to connect you need to use
static settings (next page).
If the network is not DHCP enabled, then the network administrator must provide network address details.
