Scenario
This article explains how to back up Alteon Standalone, Alteon VX, and Alteon VA configuration.

Configuration
Backup Alteon VX Configuration

Web Application Method


1. Login to the Alteon Web Application Management
2. Navigate to Configuration --> System --> Configuration Management
3. Click on Export, check Include Private Keys, enter the passphrase and click on Export

CLI Method:
1. Login to CLI
2. Execute command /cfg/ptcfg
3. Type “all” for complete VX-vADC backup and follow the prompt

vADC/Standalone

Web Application Method


1. Login to GUI
2. Navigate to Configuration --> System --> Configuration Management
3. Click on Export, check Include Private Keys, enter the passphrase and click on Export

CLI Method
1. Login to CLI
2. Execute command /cfg/ptcfg and follow the prompt

Note: /cfg/ptcfg –m is the command to force the transfer via Management Interface.
