environmentally friendly. Help her to complete the letter with at least 80 words.

Test 35:

Write a paragraph (at least 80 words) to answer the question: If you were the principal of your school,
what would you change about the school and why?

NOTE: When writing these kinds of essays, consider these things:

1. Among your many ideas, choose 2 or three to focus on. Put the main idea at the start of your essay.

2. To connect your answers to the questions or task description, use parts of the question as part of your
opening.

Example:

Task: Hoa is writing a letter to her school principal to suggest some ways to make her school more
environmentally friendly.

Answer:

Dear Principal,

To make our school more environmentally friendly, I would like to putting more trash bins around
the school with three Rs: reduce, recycle, and reuse.

3. If you have more than 1 idea, put connectors to have a flow and structure to your essay. It also makes
your ideas readable and easy to follow.

4. Put a conclusion or something that brings your ideas together to a close, usually on a positive note.
You may start with phrases like :

I believe...

I think these ideas will...


Adding trash bins around the school will help everyone and the school as a whole.

I believe adding trash bins will make our environment safer and cleaner for everyone.
