Standards
1.2.1 Understand with support the main idea of longer simple texts

Mainstream Lesson:
Learning 1) By the end of the lesson some pupils will be able to:
Objectives Listen and arrange the pictures correctly.

Remedial Intervention:
2) By the end of the lesson some pupils will be able to:
Mid A1: Listen and write 10 out of 12 the words correctly.
Low A1: Listen and write 8 out of 12 the words correctly.
Pre A1 : Listen and write 6 out of 12 the words correctly.

Lesson Pre-lesson:
Pupils are asked if they know about ancient Egypt.
Procedure/
Activities
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils watch ‘Ancient Egypt’ video.
2. Pupils are asked a few questions based on the video to
check comprehension.
3. Each group is given a set of pictures. Based on the video
pupils must arrange the pictures in sequence starting the first
one from the left.
4. In pairs, pupils refer to textbook page 27 and ask the
questions in Activity 1.
5. Pupils work in pairs.
6. Pupils take turn to read the words and write them in their
exercise books.
7. Pupils exchange their exercise books and check the spelling.

Post-lesson:
Pupils check the answers in page 118.
