Averages:

Average = sum of elements / number of elements

Calculating the Avg for consecutive numbers


Method 1:
avg = (x1+xn ) / 2 where x1= first term , xn= last term in the series

Method 2: If [Link] terms odd


Avg = middle term

Method 3: If [Link] terms even


Avg = average the middle two terms in the series
Rules of Average
Here are some handy tricks for Average which will make your calculation faster and more
efficient with practice:

(1) If the value of each number is increased/decreased by the same value 'a', then the Average
of all numbers will also increase/decrease by 'a'.

(2) If the value of each number is multiplied/divided by the same value 'a', then the Average of
all numbers will also get multiplied/divided by 'a'.
