CHAPTER I. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is the mode of
education that use information and communications technology to support, enhance,
and optimise the delivery of information.

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of

coronavirus. Although it mostly attacks the elderly, this virus can actually attack
anyone, from infants, children, to adults. This corona virus can cause mild
disorders of the respiratory system, severe lung infections, and even death.

Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was first discovered in the city of
Wuhan, China at the end of December 2019. This virus spreads very quickly and
has spread to almost all countries, including Indonesia, in just a few months. So
that on March 11, 2020 WHO declared this outbreak a global pandemic.

This has made several countries set policies to impose lockdowns in order to
prevent the spread of the corona virus. In Indonesia itself, a Large-Scale Social
Restriction (PSBB) policy was implemented to suppress the spread of this virus.
Because Indonesia is currently implementing PSBB, all activities carried out
outside the home must be stopped until this pandemic subsides.

Some local governments have decided to implement policies to leave

students and start implementing online learning methods (online) or online. This
government policy came into effect in several provinces in Indonesia on Monday,
March 16, 2020, which was also followed by other provinces. But this does not
apply to some schools in each region. These schools are not ready with an online
learning system, which requires learning media such as mobile phones, laptops, or
computers.

The online learning system (in the network) is a learning system without face
to face directly between teachers and students but is carried out online using the
internet network. Teachers must ensure that teaching and learning activities
continue, even though students are at home. The solution, teachers are required
to be able to design learning media as an innovation by utilizing online media
(online).

This is in accordance with the Minister of Education and Culture of the

Republic of Indonesia regarding Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020 concerning the
Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency Period for the Spread of
Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

The learning system is implemented through a personal computer (PC) or

laptop connected to an internet network connection. Teachers can do learning
together at the same time using groups on social media such as whatsapp (WA),
telegram, Instagram, zoom applications or other media as learning media. Thus,
the teacher can ensure that students take part in learning at the same time,
although in different places.

1.1 Research objectives

The purpose of this study is to conduct research on several junior high / high
school / college level students in online learning through online platforms.
The formulation of the problem that we collect in this mini research is:

effective?
• What are the online or online learning media applications?
• Why online learning media is very important and growing rapidly in the
current 13 curriculum?

1.2 Research benefits

• Can find out how the conditions and circumstances of online learning are
• This research report can be used as a source of literacy for readers.
• As an evaluation and learning for students as future teacher candidates.
• To do the assignments given by the lecturer
CHAPTER II LITERATURE REVIEW

A. Online learning strategies through online platforms be more effective

The Covid-19 pandemic has made a number of learning activities carried out
using online or remote methods. However, the quality of online learning remains to
be achieved.

The Chancellor of the University of Padjadjaran Prof. Rina Indiastuti said, to

improve the quality of online learning, it is necessary to deliver material in a fun way
and create bonds between lecturers and students. Characteristically, students feel
interested and happy when they are in the online learning room.

Online learning which has been going on for approximately 2 years is still a
challenge for many parties, especially teachers, students, and parents. There are
various methods applied to achieve the maximum possible learning objectives.
Effective online learning methods include blended learning and hybrid learning.
Meanwhile, learning models that are suitable for online that are often applied are
synchronous and asynchronous learning models.

The online learning system (in the network) is a learning system without face to
face directly between teachers and students but is carried out online using the
internet network. Teachers must ensure that teaching and learning activities
continue, even though students are at home. The solution, teachers are required to
be able to design learning media as an innovation by utilizing online media (online).

This is in accordance with the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic
of Indonesia regarding Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020 concerning the
Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency Period for the Spread of
Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19).

The learning system is implemented through a personal computer (PC) or laptop

connected to an internet network connection. Teachers can do learning together at
the same time using groups on social media such as WhatsApp (WA), telegram,
Instagram, zoom applications or other media as learning media. Thus, the teacher
can ensure that students take part in learning at the same time, even though in
different places.

All sectors are feeling the impact of corona. The world of education is one of
them. Judging from the surrounding events that are happening, both students and
parents who do not have cellphones to support online learning activities feel
confused, so the school is looking for solutions to anticipate this. Some students who
do not have mobile phones do learning in groups, so they do learning activities
together. Start learning through video calls that are connected with the teacher in
question, being asked questions one by one, to taking attendance through
VoiceNote available on WhatsApp. The materials are also provided in the form of
videos that are less than 2 minutes long.

The problems that occur are not only in the learning media system, but the
availability of quotas that require a fairly high cost for students and teachers to
facilitate online learning needs. The quota purchased for internet needs has soared
and many parents are not ready to increase the budget in providing internet
networks.

This is also a very important issue for students, what time they have to study and
what data (quota) they have, while their parents are low-income or from the lower
middle class (underprivileged). Until finally things like this are charged to parents of
students who want their children to continue to follow online learning.

Online learning cannot be separated from the internet network. Internet network
connection is one of the obstacles faced by students whose residence is difficult to
access the internet, especially those students who live in rural, remote and
disadvantaged areas. Even if someone uses a cellular network, sometimes the
network is unstable, because the geographical location is still far from the reach of
the cellular signal. This is also a problem that often occurs in students who take part
in online learning so that its implementation is not optimal.
Many on various social media share the experiences of parents while
accompanying their children to study, both positive and negative. For example, it
turns out that there are parents who are often angry because their children are
unruly so that they can't stand it and want their children to go back to school.

This incident gave awareness to parents that educating their children was not
easy, it required a lot of knowledge and patience. So with this incident parents must
be aware and know how to guide their children in learning. After getting this
experience, it is hoped that parents will learn how to educate their children at home.

It should be realized that the unpreparedness of teachers and students towards

online learning is also a problem. The shift from conventional learning systems to
online systems is very sudden, without proper preparation. But all of this must still be
carried out so that the learning process can run smoothly and students actively
participate even in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The stuttering of online learning can be seen in front of us, not just one or two
schools, but throughout several regions in Indonesia. Very important components of
the online learning process need to be improved and improved. First and foremost is
a stable internet network, then a capable device or computer, an application with a
user friendly platform, and online socialization that is efficient, effective, continuous,
and integrative to all education stakeholders.

Learning techniques that Smart Teachers can apply, for example, are as follows:
The first thing Smart Teachers have to do is identify learning problems/difficulties
that can be related to the material provided. After that, try to make media that can
answer the problems faced by students. After that, don't apply it right away. Do a
test activity first. Smart teachers can do trials with colleagues or fellow teachers and
students themselves. After getting feedback, Smart Teachers can improve the
learning media. Learning media can be in the form of images, infographics, videos,
songs, applications, props and so on.

What is an effective synchronous online learning strategy? Of course that

makes students learn fun and meaningful so that learning objectives can be
achieved. For this reason, online learning must be prepared as well as possible. How
to?

1. Make a Lesson Plan

The key to successful online learning starts with making lesson plans or
lesson plans. When making lesson plans, Smart Teachers must determine learning
objectives, learning structures, teaching materials to be used, supporting learning
media, learning evaluations, and class management.

2. Learning Structure
Learning strategies during the pandemic are no longer a big challenge if Smart
Teachers do not hesitate to always learn. Learn to understand student needs, learn
technology that can support the teaching and learning process, to learn the latest
kinds of learning methods that may be applied in Smart Guru's online classroom.

a. Provide energizer or interesting ice breaking activities.

b. Invite students to move. Smart Teachers can invite students to do
gymnastics, dance, or other activities that make students move.
c. Deliver learning materials in a variety of ways. For example, not only with the
lecture method, Smart Teachers can take advantage of various interesting
learning media and help students understand the lesson.
d. Involve students in the learning process. Do not let students just sit quietly
and have to listen to lectures from the teacher. Activities that involve students
for example by discussing. Smart teachers can take advantage of the
breakout room feature and divide students into small groups. Make sure
students are active and involved in the discussion by visiting each group
during the discussion activity.
e. Evaluate each lesson. Evaluation does not have to be by giving students
questions or tests to work on. Evaluation can be done by making a poll,
asking students randomly, and so on depending on the purpose of the
evaluation itself. If the evaluation is only to ensure students understand the
lesson, you can use polling, survey, and observation techniques.
f. Invite students to reflect. Get used to each end of the lesson invite students
to reflect. Ask what students have learned today, how they feel, what new
things have students learned, if students can apply the lessons in their daily
lives, if possible, how. If all students are accustomed to reflecting, then
students will find the meaning of learning

3. Use technology.
Using technology does not always refer to technologies that are high-tech and
require sophisticated tools. Even low-tech technologies such as whatsapp can be
used by Smart Teachers to help make online learning successful. The key is task
before apps. Set new learning goals, look for appropriate technology and can help
students achieve learning goals, not the other way around. Examples of money
technology that Smart Teachers can use when online learning are whatsapp, zoom,
google meet, google classroom, interactive quizzes, and other applications.

4. Create interesting and effective learning media.

The impact of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has made
many schools and universities decide to eliminate face-to-face teaching and learning
activities and replace them with online distance learning methods at home. This is
implemented to limit direct physical interaction in order to suppress the spread of the
virus so that it does not spread further.

Learning online certainly has its own challenges. Because they are considered
more free and flexible, students are actually required to have a commitment to
learning independently at home. Online learning has challenges in supervision so
that students continue to carry out teaching and learning activities according to face-
to-face learning time. In addition, of course, technological devices such as
smartphones or laptops as well as a good internet network must be available.

So, how do you make online learning more effective? Let's follow some of
these tips:
1. Manage time well
Organize your study time so you don't procrastinate on doing assignments. Get
used to focus and do the task at the beginning of time. Commitment to work on
assignments will certainly be easier to do if the school or college sets a time limit for
completing assignments to students.

We must have a consistent schedule, the schedule and targets that we have set
are useful so that we don't procrastinate doing something. So, it is important that we
stay and continue to do what needs to be done.

2. Find a comfortable place

The second thing we need to pay attention to when studying during a pandemic
is the study room, choose a comfortable study room, don't choose a study room that
doesn't exist together with the bedroom. Why is that ? This is to reduce the feeling of
laziness because of the desire to lie in bed. Prepare a comfortable and quiet place
so that learning can be more effective because there are minimal distractions

A comfortable place is one of the keys to learning to stay focused, you know.
You can find a place like the corner of the house that is comfortable to study. You
can decorate the study desk area as creatively as possible to increase your
enthusiasm for learning.

3. Prepare the necessary devices

Prepare the devices you need, be it a laptop, smartphone, computer or
electrical switch to charge your device so you don't run out of power in the midst of
focusing on studying. Also make sure your device is connected to a good internet
network so you can access the online learning platform you need without any
problems.

4. Communication with teachers and study friends

Even though you study remotely from the teacher, it doesn't mean you are free
to relax and postpone the assignments you are given. Keep in touch with teachers
and study friends. If needed, you can also hold a special group chat to discuss the
assigned task. In addition, you can also report daily assignments to the teacher.
5. Keep Clean
During this COVID-19 pandemic, cleanliness is one of the most important things.
Diligently wash your hands with soap and don't forget to regularly clean your study
devices, both smartphones and laptops. Stay Clean!

6. Maintain health
The most important thing is to maintain health during this pandemic. Maintaining
good sleep quality, and living a healthy and rewarding life really helps us in
optimizing our self-study schedule during a pandemic and eating nutritious food.

B. Online or online learning media applications

The spread of the Corona Virus is currently sweeping the world, Corona viruses
are a large family of viruses that cause disease in humans and animals. In humans,
it usually causes respiratory tract infections, ranging from the common cold to
serious illnesses such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe
Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The coronavirus disease has been designated by the World Health Organization
(WHO) as a pandemic condition with a massive level of ability to spread the virus to
the entire world population, including Indonesia. Based on data on the spread of
covid 19 from the official website of the Indonesian government (covid.go.id) as of
August 2, 2020, it is explained that 216 countries have been infected with the corona
virus and 680,894 people have died.

In Indonesia as of August 8, 2020 there were 320,564 positive cases with 11,580
people dying. From this data, it is explained that the covid 19 virus still exists and is
very dangerous. From December 31, 2019 to January 3, 2020, this case increased
rapidly, marked by the reports of 44 cases. In less than a month, the disease has
spread to other provinces in China, Thailand, Japan and South Korea.

Efforts to control and prevent the transmission of the corona virus are carried out
by restricting interactions and crowds and maintaining physical distance from one
another. These policies have an impact on all aspects of life, including the learning
process of students at school. The learning process is a process of achieving
learning objectives by students through a series of activities under the direction,
guidance, and motivation of teachers (Abidin, 2016). The policy of limiting
interaction and crowds causes teachers and students to be required to adapt to
pandemic situations and conditions and carry out a learning process that is different
from the usual, namely by an indirect face-to-face system or an online learning
process (in a network).

Online learning, online or distance learning itself aims to meet educational

standards by utilizing Information Technology by using computers or gadgets that
are interconnected between students and teachers as well as between students and
lecturers so that through the use of technology the teaching and learning process
can still be carried out properly.

The use of information technology is expected to be able to overcome the

teaching and learning process so that it can continue to run well even though there is
a COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible to do this well because the majority of
Indonesian people are currently using the Internet, this is in accordance with the WE
ARE SOCIAL research, "Digital Reports 2020" which was released at the end of
January 2020 stated that almost 64 percent of Indonesia's population is connected to
the internet network, the number of internet users in Indonesia has reached 175.4
million people out of the total population of Indonesia which is around 272.1 million
and compared to last year, the number of internet users in Indonesia increased by
about 17 percent or 25 million users. And currently there are several information
technologies that can be used as learning media, including using e-learning

E-learning is an innovation that can be utilized in the learning process, not only in
the delivery of learning materials but also changes in the abilities of various
competencies of students. Through e-learning, students not only listen to material
descriptions from educators but also actively observe, perform, demonstrate, and so
on. Teaching materials can be virtualized in various formats so that they are more
interesting and more dynamic so that they can motivate students to go further in the
learning process.
E-learning is a learning model that utilizes information and communication
technology facilities and to support the distance learning process in addition to e-
learning there are several other uses of technology that are used to improve the
teaching and learning process through distance learning including using
communication media such as WhatsApp, Google Class, You Tube, as well as
zoom applications that can bring together lecturers and students virtually so that the
teaching and learning process can be conveyed properly.

Through the implementation of this distance learning policy, it is hoped that the
world of education will participate in supporting the government in suppressing the
spread of covid 19 and the world of education in Indonesia can run even though our
country is struggling with the corona pandemic. Other research data also show that
obstacles will affect the success of online learning include the lack of teachers in
interacting, the delivery of material that is not understood by students, the
unpreparedness of parents to guide their children to study and the ability of parents
to finance more spending on the internet as a means of online learning (Handayani
et al., 2020). This is in accordance with the opinion (Mastur et al., 2002), which
states that teachers who will be successful in implementing online learning are
teachers who utilize science and technology in the process of delivering material to
students.

Summarized by Indozone, here are the recommendations for the best and free

from home. This application can be used for free and can accommodate up to 100
meeting participants without any time limit. For online learning needs, Cisco Webex
can allow educators to share presentation content via digital whiteboards on
computer/smartphone screens. Another advantage is that there is also a group chat
feature in Cisco Webex Teams and messaging-based digital classes provided.

C. Online learning media is very important and growing rapidly in the

current 13 curriculum
The pandemic period, which has occurred for approximately two years, has had a
major impact and change in all activities and conditions for everyone. The impact of
the pandemic has limited all activities that were initially carried out directly or offline
such as work, school, play, travel, and so on.

The Indonesian government's policy in responding to this outbreak is to apply the

principle of social distancing to all levels of society, even in several big cities in
Indonesia, PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) is applied to break the chain of
the spread of this virus. This policy has an impact on education in Indonesia,
especially in the learning process for school students. (Kurniyati & Siswat, 2020)

Schools and learning are carried out online and through various learning media
and online applications. One of the online learning media that is widely used by
students is online learning websites such as E-learning. Online learning media that is
carried out through E-learning has in fact become a habit in learning during this
pandemic. Students and teachers are expected to be able to adapt learning to
curriculum 13 in the midst of this covid-19 pandemic. Develop -based learning media

Computer technology or e-learning such as Moodle is the development of

appropriate learning media to be applied in accordance with the demands of the
2013 curriculum (Joyo, P, DKK: 2015)
The learning process in the 2013 curriculum places ICT subjects as a means of
learning in all subjects that is integrated in all subjects. This is in accordance with the
explanation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia
(Mendikbud RI) regarding the development of the 2013 Curriculum, teachers are
expected to be information literate, media literate and ICT literate.

Online learning media can be interpreted as media equipped with controllers

that can be operated by the user (user), so that the user (user) can control and
access what the user needs, for example downloading sources for Tenses material
in English lessons. Advantages of use online learning media is independent learning
and high interactivity, able to increase memory levels, provide more learning
experiences, with text, audio, video and animation, all of which are used to convey
information, and also provide convenience in delivering, updating content,
downloading , students can also send emails to other students, send comments on
discussion forums, use chat rooms, to video conference links to communicate
directly. (Then Gede Muhammad Zainuddin Atsani, 2020)

There are several online learning media that can be chosen, including:
A. The first and most widely used online learning media is whatsapp group.
B. The next online learning media comes from google, namely the google suite for
online learning education.
C. The next Online Learning Media is Ruangguru.
D. Online Learning Media that can be used as the next choice is Zenius.
E. Online Learning Media which is also often used is Zoom.
Based on the above, looking at the situation and conditions during the COVID-19
pandemic, teacher or lecturers must be smart in choosing learning media that must
be used in the process learning so as not to miss the material. (Then Gede
Muhammad Zainuddin Atsani, 2020).

A. The impact of using online learning media for students

Online or online learning certainly provides several benefits and

disadvantages for students. So not infrequently students sometimes complain about
learning that is done online as it is today. The use of online learning media also
provides the pros and cons of the students. There are still many other obstacles that
arise when the online learning system is implemented.

The material presented is not fully understood by students, sometimes

students feel confused and do not understand in accepting the material presented by
the teacher. Even though the teaching and learning activities are carried out using
video calls, in which the activity can still be said that it is still face-to-face with the
teacher via virtual, it is still considered less effective.

Learning raises a lot of pros and cons for students, teachers, communities
and people who are taking education. There are advantages and disadvantages of
course in this online learning period. Like the advantages that are obtained in online
learning is that it saves time and energy used, so if in offline learning the time used is
only focused on time at school and the energy used to go to school. The
shortcomings that exist during the online learning period are the high costs needed
and of course facilities such as internet, wifi, electronic devices must be provided,
but as we know not everyone has a lot of money to fulfill this.

According to a survey that we have conducted, many students state that

online learning causes a lot of contra among the public. Online learning which is
considered less effective has a negative impact on students. This online learning
does not have a positive effect and builds students to study harder. They are
increasingly lazy to participate in online teaching and learning activities because the
material conveyed by the teacher is not easily understood by the students.

Many students say that offline learning guarantees their intelligence more
than online. Because when they study offline at school, they are faster and easier to
understand. The teacher also provides a more detailed explanation than when
learning online.

Learning conditions during the pandemic must be able to be utilized by

changing patterns of thinking, learning patterns, patterns of scientific intection that
are more meaningful so that rigidity in responding to the Covid 19 period can be
maximized with productivity that characterizes meaningfulness.

B. Conditions and Situations in Learning in Schools Using Online Media

The Covid-19 pandemic period is a time when all things are not as usual
By all circles, including the world of education. Covid-19 is a disease that attacks
Human respiratory tract with acute respiratory symptoms, such as fever, cough and
shortness of breath.
This disease is quickly transmitted to humans by droplets of saliva that come
out of people who have this disease. Therefore, all activities must be stopped and
require people to use and get used to using masks, always wash their hands and
keep their distance. This results in learning that cannot be done face-to-face but
must be done from home. (Sri Sunarti).

Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic must continue to be carried out even
though in various ways so that students can continue to learn. According to Dabbagh
and Ritland, online learning is an open and distributed learning system by using
Pedagogical tools or educational aids made possible via the internet and Network-
based technology to facilitate the formation of learning and knowledge processes
Through meaningful actions and interactions. (Sri Sunarti).

Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic can be done using a variety of tools
Learning media that have been provided at this time both online and offline.
Teachers can innovate in providing and delivering material to students. But not
infrequently, the learning system that has been done online still relies on online
learning media. Students come to school but still use cellphones or laptops as
learning media, instead of books or worksheets that are given by the school.
Learning situations used like this at school are a bit ineffective in our opinion. Only
different places and times in the implementation before the implementation of offline
schools.

Online and offline learning if carried out properly and well, then there will be
no obstacles in that regard. The use of online learning media is also very helpful
even though learning is done offline again. Actually, online media like this existed
long before the pandemic spread throughout the world. It's just that its use for
students, teachers, and members of the Education community is rarely enforced, but
several applications that are intentionally made to support online learning media are
also widely used
CHAPTER III OBSERVATION / RESEARCH METHOD

1. The technique of analyzing data

Data analysis is carried out to process data into information, the data
will be be easy to understand and useful for answering problems related to
research activities. The data to be analyzed is the data the results of the
research survey approach from field research and research literature, then
analyzed to draw conclusions.
As for the order of analysis carried out is :
1. The author collects data by distributing questionnaire on a
predetermined population.
2. After collecting data, then make a list of preparation of statements or
questionnaires qualitatively.
3. After the data is collected, then data processing is carried out, presented
in the form of analysis using a descriptive approach from the results of the
questionnaire survey.

2. The data and source of the data

In this study, the data studied are primary data, namely data obtained
/ sourced directly by distributing questionnaires to respondents who became
the sample to find out responses about the research which will be researched.

3. The techniques of collecting data

Data is the most important part of a study, because with data
researchers can find out the results of research. In this study, data were
obtained from various sources, using various data collections and carried out
systematically and continuously until the data was saturated. In accordance
with the characteristics of the data needed in this study, we used a
questionnaire technique. The questionnaire is a list of questions related to
Online Learning Through Online Platforms.
CHAPTER IV RESULTS OF OBSERVATION / RESEARCH

From the survey results that we have collected, it can be summarized that
the level of effectiveness of online learning in this pandemic era is considered less
effective. The students we surveyed also had some interesting and fun things when
studying online, including being able to learn while lying down, being easier to find
answers, not spending a lot of money such as pocket money and others, being
able to learn while eating, doing other activities, no need to pay, morning showers,
more rest time, and so on.

Besides that, there are also some things that are boring when studying
online, including back pain due to sitting in front of the screen for too long, bored
when listening to the speaker explain because they don't meet face to face, can't
meet friends, lots of assignments, when practicum material also feels less effective
due to lack of understanding and lack of clarity in handling all the problems that
must be handled by the students themselves. some students also feel bored
because they only study at home and do not understand the material.

Also from the survey results that we have collected, it can be concluded that
there are many advantages of online learning applications during this pandemic.
Here are some of the advantages we have listed: 1) Flexible learning time, 2)
Helping the learning process even though it is far away, 3) Adding insight, 4) Can
share information and communicate remotely with teachers and friends, 5)
Learning is easier and more practical. In addition, there are also some
disadvantages of this online application. Here are some of the shortcomings that
we got: 1) An error occurred while using the application, 2) Sometimes the
application used slows down, 3) Some students do not understand using the
application and lack of knowledge, 4) Insufficient quota or inadequate network.
From this survey, it is also known that most of the students' opinions about the
effectiveness of online learning through applications are "less effective".
Many
students say that offline learning guarantees their intelligence more than online.
Because when they study offline at school, they are faster and easier to understand.
The teacher also provides a more detailed explanation than when learning online.
students also when learning to use online-based media, they tend to be bored and
increasingly lazy. because using online-based media, all lessons and materials are
on the internet they prefer to copy answers from the internet, rather than seek
answers through their own thoughts. so that the risk of cheating is greater when
using online-based media.
CHAPTER V CLOSING

a. Conclusion
Online learning which has been going on for approximately 2 years is
still a challenge for many parties, especially teachers, students, and parents.
There are various methods applied to achieve the maximum possible
learning objectives. Effective online learning methods include blended
learning and hybrid learning. Meanwhile, learning models that are suitable
for online that are often applied are synchronous and asynchronous learning
models.
E-learning is a learning model that utilizes information and
communication technology facilities and to support the distance learning
process in addition to e-learning there are several other uses of technology
that are used to improve the teaching and learning process through distance
learning including using communication media such as WhatsApp, Google
Class, You Tube, as well as zoom applications that can bring together
lecturers and students virtually so that the teaching and learning process
can be conveyed properly.
Thus, online learning as an effective solution in learning at home to
break the chain of the spread of Covid-19, physical distancing (maintaining a
safe distance) is also a consideration for choosing this learning. Good
cooperation between teachers, students, parents and the school/madrasah
is a determining factor for more effective online learning.
Hopefully this Covid-19 pandemic will pass quickly along with the
new normal that has been imposed by the government. So that the learning
process can be carried out as before with the presence of teachers and
students who interact directly with each other. Aamiin Ya Rabbal'alamin

b. Suggestion
In making this paper, we have summarized it according to our theme,
namely " Online Learning Through Online Platforms ". although we realize
there are still many shortcomings. so that we can accommodate as many
criticisms and suggestions as possible. We hope that this paper can be used
as a reference and useful for the public. I hope the readers are wise in
taking things that are useful in this paper and ignoring things that are not
useful.
