If I need students of age between certain values then it will be called collection of entities of particular entity type at a point

in time.
It is set of values that can be assigned to an attribute for example if we want to specify age of employee between the values 20 to 60 then we
can specify value set of age of employee between the integer values 20 to 60
This relationship connect these two objects or entities

i.e. it tells how many entities are associated or linked together

Relationship type of degree 1 is called Unary relationship

Relationship type of degree 2 is called Binary relationship

Relationship type of degree 3 is called Ternary relationship

1 Manager can manage only 1 department and vice versa this is 1:1 relationship

1 Employee can work for at the most or maximum for 1 department and 1 department can have maximum of N employees so this is N:1 or 1: N

Student study subjects 1 student can study any number of subjects and any subject can be studied by any number of students so this is N:N or
many to many relationship
ER Diagram stands for Entity Relationship Diagram, also known as ERD is a diagram that displays the
relationship of entity sets stored in a database. In other words, ER diagrams help to explain the logical structure
of databases. ER diagrams are created based on three basic concepts: entities, attributes and relationships.

ER Diagrams contain different symbols that use rectangles to represent entities, ovals to define attributes and
diamond shapes to represent relationships.

At first look, an ER diagram looks very similar to the flowchart. However, ER Diagram includes many specialized
symbols, and its meanings make this model unique. The purpose of ER Diagram is to represent the entity
framework infrastructure.
