Learning within the curriculum:


1) Topic: Exoplanets
- Connection: Understanding recent advancements in the discovery of exoplanets
helps students appreciate how advancements in technology, such as the Kepler
Space Telescope, have expanded our knowledge of the solar system. This ties back
to the objective as students learn to identify and list significant findings related to
exoplanets and their implications for life beyond Earth.
2) Topic: Mars Exploration
- Connection: The ongoing exploration of Mars through missions like
Perseverance and the Mars Rover highlights advancements in our understanding of
the solar system. Students will realize how these missions contribute to our
knowledge and the potential for human colonization, directly linking to the objectives
of listing current information and recognizing the importance of these advancements.
